Did Spiniel ever think that Pink could want space? No, she didn't think about pink as a person at all, she just thought as she was born to. Would Pearl be as hurt if she acknowledged that Rose wasn't *hers*, which Rose never claimed to be? No, Pearl just clung to this idea of Rose. To an... Alarmingly unhealthy degree. If pink isn't given sympathy for her actions, then Pearl did that to herself (but we should give both sympathy while acknowledging the fault of it). Everyone just clung to this idea of Pink/Rose so wholeheartedly to the point that week she didn't live up to it, they were crushed, and that's cruel to do to anyone, and it's unfair to put someone in that position and then blame them. I think Steven Universe is a story That's a product of mistakes. It's messy, most of the early intentions didn't go as planned and most of the good intentions hurt someone, there were harmful coping mechanisms, ect. I think it's good to see that good people aren't infallible, and on that coin it feels wrong to completely demonize any of the characters.
I think Earth and Heaven Beetles are a reference to Jewel Beetles in real life. Like Bismuth(a metal), Jewel Beetles(insects) aren't considered gemstones in real life. Like Pearls(made inside oysters), Jewel Beetles are biological in nature. That's my theory anyway.

This whole series is literally the product of Pink's whole existence! 😂 Everything that's ever happened or going to happen is literally HER fault, it's actually pretty insane when you think about it.

Unlike the other diamonds, who are considered good because they had Steven to show them how TERRIBLE they was being towards offcolors *and the entire universe* ... Pink had no one. She tested the system like the child she was, thought of others in the way she was taught to, and then recognized what was wrong and then stood up for what was right. She was incredible to do all that while everyone she liked looked to her blindly for leadership! Yet, she still did very bad things. We can't dismiss that. While she wasn't meaningfully cruel, she hurt people. I can also add that most of the people who were hurt, they had blind feelings towards her. They put her on a pedestal. Did Spiniel ever think that Pink could want space? No, she didn't think about pink as a person at all, she just thought as she was born to. Would Pearl be as hurt if she acknowledged that Rose wasn't *hers*, which Rose never claimed to be? No, Pearl just clung to this idea of Rose. To an... Alarmingly unhealthy degree. If pink isn't given sympathy for her actions, then Pearl did that to herself (but we should give both sympathy while acknowledging the fault of it). Everyone just clung to this idea of Pink/Rose so wholeheartedly to the point that week she didn't live up to it, they were crushed, and that's cruel to do to anyone, and it's unfair to put someone in that position and then blame them. I think Steven Universe is a story That's a product of mistakes. It's messy, most of the early intentions didn't go as planned and most of the good intentions hurt someone, there were harmful coping mechanisms, ect. I think it's good to see that good people aren't infallible, and on that coin it feels wrong to completely demonize any of the characters.

Orrrr....did Rose reboot Pearl herself to meet her new freedom fighter ideals after originally giving her default settings?? If the theory about Pink not caring much for Spinel as a replacement for Pink Pearl is true, it'd make sense that they gave her our Pearl & she didn't put much thought into the settings cuz she just wanted her friend. That would explain why she still had her default outfit on back when Pink started getting bored with her colony rather than a personalized outfit like the other Pearls.
