Thanks for the video - getting ready here in Boston. The tip on the silicon spray was appreciated - makes sense but never thought of it. Gonna get me some of those pins as well.

Nice, I got an old model last year for free. I have 2 now, but the electric start is the best on starting.

Thank you for watching and commenting! Remember to store the machines properly in the off season to keep the carburetor in good health or as I do, run my machine every 45 to 60 days for 15 minutes to get the good fuel through the carburetor from the tank. If you start to use the Aspen fuel, you will not need to start as much but I always do because I just want to make sure my machine is running good.

@Johnson's Small Engines I'm from Indiana I haven't seen that fuel. But yes I do run it often, but we have only that other can fuel. I'm not going to mention names.

I love the content on your channel. I would love if you made a video with some tips on a small carburetor rebuild for 4 cycle weed eater. These riobi weed eaters are piling up for me from either ,not being able to start or I can't keep it running even after using fuel stabilize. Summer is right around the corner! Thanks again for the videos, have a blessed day!

Hi Anthony, thank you for watching and the kind words. I do not work on any two cycle equipment any longer. Check out Steve's Saloon. He has a lot of two cycle videos. Here is his link. www.youtube.com/@StevesSmallEngineSaloon

I like the Buy a REG. 90 octane fuel for my off winter equipment. We need fuel off values on this equipment can you Help?

Hi William, I agree needing the fuel shut off! It would not be pretty to install a fuel shut off on these newer machines. I would suggest cutting out the piece of plastic between the carburetor and fuel tank and install a inline fuel shut off. I may give it a shot on my own machine but I use Aspen fuel and it keeps my machine from having any issues from long storage.

I am getting ready to put my snow blower away for the season here in Maryland. What additive should I put into the fuel tank for storage? Thanks

      Hi Stew,
I have used the product called "Stabil" and I use the marine type due to it helps with condensation. The problem is, if you do not run the machine every few months, there still is a possibility of the fuel going bad in the carburetor. Many will tell you to run the engine dry. That is almost impossible to do correctly unless you know exactly how to do it. I recommended taking all of the fuel out that you can, then run the machine until it will not run, even try and run it on choke until it empty. Then put a full tank of ASPEN 4 stroke fuel in and run the machine for about ten minutes. ASPEN4 fuel is such a clean fuel and it has no ethanol and it will stay fresh in your machine at least until the next season and longer. **Note** You cannot mix the regular gas with ASPEN4 or it will not perform the way it should. You will also not have any issues that you have if you let the machine sit dry (empty all gas from machine). Here is a website to read up on ASPEN4 fuel. www.aspenfuels.us/products/all/. I am not at all sponsored by ASPEN FUEL, I just started using it a few years ago and I think it is in my opinion a great product to run in your snow thrower. In my opinion, It is to expensive to run in everything but for the snow throwers, its perfect.

Nice video as is the norm. A quick snow blower question. Based on your experience what brand/brands have the best selection of repair parts such as carb kits and gasket kits. Seems a waste to have to buy a Amazon clone carb instead of a needle and seat. Thanks for these videos.

The snow thrower you purchase would need to fit “how much snow you get in your winter season where you live”? The best out there would be on my opinion, Honda. You pay the price but you will get a quality build.

I have a question, when the snow blower like in the video is not working properly, that is when starting the engine it runs high and low, how can I fix that? Can you make a video about that.

I do have videos on how to remove and replace that carburetor or rebuild it. You will have to do a little searching on my TH-cam channel as I am not near a computer at the moment. To remove the hunting and surging. You will need to be a little bit mechanically inclined, but my videos will show you how to take care of that.
