Hello!
Could you tell me the right position about the silicon flapper and metal one?!? When you took out the metal was in front of you and after cleaning you put it back of you. Also I calibrated as you show us and I faced a problem... The burr was not moved due to much fine grinding... I opened again and calibrate doing more grosso as zero calibration. Thank you!

Thanks for the video, very detailed! Sadly on my E65S GBW after unscrewing the 2 top screws I can’t twist the top even with lots of force ….

Did you ever find a solution to this? Anytime I try to clean my E80 the bulk of the time is spent trying to unscrew the the screws perfectly so I can hopefully remover the hopper intake.

I can’t twist it open as well. The dot is in between the lock and unlock position. Did you ever find a solution to this?

Yes sorry but yet I still find that to be very troublesome! Before twisting the top I was told to insert a screwdriver inside the chute and “gently” against the flappers to I guess lift them slightly … then twisting as shown here works for me!

But fair to say it’s never been an easy job for me to clean this grinder :-(

After i did this and recalibrated the load cell, the grinder now spits coffee forward out of the portafilter. Any idea why or how to fix that?

Great video, thanks a lot!
I have made the experience that it makes a difference in which direction you insert the flapper and the metal part. In the way it was inserted before you did the cleaning the damming seems to get too strong so the grind result is much finer and for me it happened even that the disc was blocked. It works well in the direction you show when re-inserting the flapper after cleaning.

Hi Gabi, we use a handheld vacuum cleaner. Any type that has a tip that is small enough to reach your burr is good.

PHD is needed to clean this grinder. To recalibrate to 0 is a pain in the ass.
