Thank you very for the incredible response on this set ❤ I’m happy to announce that also the Modern Keyboard Soundset - Volume 2 is out now! Here’s the demo video: th-cam.com/video/8XPZD4C0XQE/w-d-xo.html Enjoy!
Some really nice patches, well done. The DX7 has to be one of the most versatile synths of all time, it just keeps on surprising what it is capable of!
Preso usato da una settimana devo ancora immergermi nella programmazione , ho avuto problemi con un cavo midi economico , ora ho provveduto a prendere un’irig2 midi
I got the no.2 set as I like to tinker around with 80´s sounds and trying reverse engineering via softsynths ( Dx7V/ Ops7/ Dexed for sysex files ) Next payday I will definately get my hands on this and it will probably be a blast loading them into a hardware machine sometime in the future, Great Job!
Awesome demo! 😎🤘🏻 🎹 I’m a huge Yamaha fan and this synth sounds killer. The Nintendo synth sounded awesome. I guess now I know that sega megadrive/genesis synths aren’t the only synths you can get from this synthesizer. Other than that, great synth.
Why do people even attempt to do analog sounds on an FM synth? They sound NOTHING like analog strings, bass, pads, fx, etc. The DX-7 is capable of so much sonic goodness...what is the point o trying to make it do something it not only was not designed to do, but can't do well, at all.
Short answer: given how much overused and ubiquitous can be analog sounds nowadays, the process of exploring that ballpark using a different synthesis method can lead to some interesting results, surely not always authentic, but in many cases sounding like a different take on the classics. Then it’s a matter of taste, and luckily tastes are personal :) The purpose of my set is to share a collection of FM-generated sounds i programmed and i would use in modern contexts, not to demonstrate that FM is better in making analog sounds than analog synths :D

Thank you very much! You’re right, the DX7 (and all its subsequent lineage) is a sound designer’s dream! So deep and versatile!
Bellissimo suoni ! La versatilità del dx7 è impressionante !
Ed è anche divertentissimo da programmare 🙏🏻

Legend, they should have hired you for the presets
Thank you 🙏🏻 I wasn’t even born 😅
@@rm-studios Is it possible if I buy the Packet that you send me all the settings so I can program the patches manually?
@@lostboyz6454you can open the sysex file using the free editor Dexed, and see all the parameters from there
if only there were more demos where the person can actually play or has some semblance of musical talent. really brought the dx7 to life.
Indeed having a professional at the keys adds a whole new dimension.
Nice diverse patch set BTW.
Patch 22 is trippy 🤪
What? You don't think this guy could play? WTF is wrong with you and you got 10 likes for that insult?
RM Nintendo was spot on and beautiful job with the Super Mario Bros theme!
Thanks Ted!
Holy shit you played those lead patches SO WELL! Those sounded SICK!
Thank you sir!
Fantastic demo, thanks for taking the time.
Thanks a lot to you Rob for taking a listen to my work and for your nice feedback on it. Very much appreciated :)

Square waves (and sawtooth waves) are really easy to make on pretty much any FM synth tbf
Great sounds!
Thanks a lot!
Best patch is nintendo. It sounds so accurate
btwcan you make a full track with the 05 synthwave like in the video it sounds good
Impressive near super-saw - but a cigarette rather than the full cigar.
lil' Chick Corea on patch 10 there
Yes, I spotted that too! Nicely played.
These are all great, especially 5 and 19.
Thank you very much, Adam!
Great playing!!
@@larryfinke6133 thanks sir
Spettacolo 🔥🔥🎹 grandissimo
Grazie di cuore, Alberto!
Sounds like 90´s videogames sounds
90s sound cards used the same FM technology to make sounds, so totally spot on.
Amazing sounds you made. What song are you playing with the oberheim at 3:58?
Thanks a lot, I was just improvising something on the spot
Hi Roberto, Nice sounds demo 👍 is this patch available or compatible with Kronos FM engine ?
Hi Chris, if you’re able to load the original presets of the DX7 into the Kronos, then you can load also these patches :)
Nice!
Thank you!
good job!!
Thank you very much
Wery good work
Thank you Patrick!
Very good sounds. Are you using editing software like Sounddiver or Patchbase?
Thanks a lot. Not necessarily. Most of them have been programmed on my DX7S

Hi, unfortunately no.
melody name with sound 11
It’s a little impro freely inspired from a song of my band ‘MaYaN’. Check out ‘Essenza di Te’
Patch 18 has no volume on a DX7
