Love it!! And the music. The lake reminds me of White Lake here in North Carolina

Awesome video of the loon. I remember hearing their calls on a canoe trip years ago in the boundary waters. One of my fondest memories of that trip years years ago listening to them everyday from the shores where we camped. Thanks for sharing 😊

I just wanna say even though we’ve followed you here since the beginning in Georgia I’ve never felt more inclined to reach out more than today. I’m watching your TH-cam now and thinking “you should write a novel.” But then I think again and can say “all a person needs to do is watch your journey 2023 here on the AT… it’s a living novel.” Thank you for your passionate talking as you’ve walked. Even your potty mouth ❤️ I can relate to. I too have a potty mouth when my emotions run high. I call it being real. As I age, I’m 72, I’m trying to be more reserved, lol, but sometimes I cut loose. Glad you’re staying committed as we have felt that you would be one of the ones that actually make it. My husband Steve’s grandfather was among the firsts that worked on the Maine end of the AT. Steve is a Maine boy. Grew up there. I won’t ramble on, but as my husband and I (we’ve been married 4 yrs this August) met on Eharmony after both being widowed, on thing we had in common was the dream to hike the AT. At our age and health a thru hike is not gonna happen, but maybe a few day hikes with rooms waiting. This is why we want to say thank you. We’ve certainly enjoyed the past few months with you, couch to trail, Wedge and Nahampsur (sp). as you’ve shared your journeys. Such beauty we’ve beheld. Especially your and couch to trail’s pics/videos. Taking the time while putting yourself at risk. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. ❤ from Alice and Steve in West Virginia. “And Hi to Jim”…. as well…….

Hey Alice - I appreciate you sharing your personal thoughts with me and our incredible community. I'm happy that you've enjoyed this journey along with me. Ironically, or perhaps not so much, I am writing about this experience. It feels good to explore my innermost feelings about these magnificent days I spent in the wilderness.
You and Steve should absolutely hit the trail and day hikes are an awesome way to explore and enjoy the trail. You'll meet so many wonderful hikers out there.
Thank you again for joining this magnificent journey!

This came up as recommended as I am a Masshole/ weekend Maine-I AC in Casco and my Dads sister is from Maine . Thank you for showing me these areas I’ve never seen. My Berwick aunt traveled to Rangeley for vacations. Part of a journey is the end and your journey is incredible . PS- The Maine cabin masters did a camp based off of the loons.

Southbounders are getting a late start. Possible snow in the Smokies in the late fall. It snowed 8" in GA one Thanksgiving. I was on the trail. I had to hike out 7 miles and go over Big Cedar Mtn. I know youse made. I'm proud of youse.

Love the loon, sounds wonderful. The weather created bad times and friends and time off the trail really helped. We knew that the weather was going to throw you for a loop and so glad that you had friends to help.
