      @I would never buy a new one. Anything built during and since Covid are shit, just like cars. Buying a 2019 or older used RV is the way to go. I personally would buy a 2008 or older diesel pusher (pre DEF) knowing the past owners dealt with all of the problems and potentially did some upgrading over the years.

    When you are paying $100,000 for an RV, you have to remember that you could have just booked a $200/night hotel for 500 nights. That does not include the insurance, the storage, the maintenance, the extra fuel costs to tow it, or the $100,000 truck you had to buy to tow it. That cost could easily double. So now you are at 1000 nights. That's 50 nights a year for 20 years.
    Invest accordingly.

    • @GringoGeorge
      @GringoGeorge หลายเดือนก่อน +28

      Not to mention the interest on the loan. Also, at the end of 20 years it will be worth nothing. That's if it is even still usable at all.

Then they come down near 50% off the price, you think you are getting a good deal, they are still making 100% on the unit and with your financing on it you just paid for it twice. So they aren't losing money. Lemon laws don't apply to RVs. As soon as you assume it, it's yours with all the defects and 3rd world craftsmanship your heart could desire. As soon as you take it off the lot you lost 50%. And then you will need at least 2 loans for it. Yeah fuck all that.

    When tough economic times hit, "the first thing to go are the toys". RVs, ATVs, sports cars, boats, fancy motorcycles, and time shares have probably all felt the hit thus far. Inflation is affecting almost everyone.
    I see nothing improving much, even under Trump who I voted for, for the next year or so. It's a worldwide economic slowdown too, not just the USA.

      Time shares were one of the biggest scams of the 20th century. Some I knew fell for it, but now they can't get rid of them. They can legally get out of them by going online and getting help. Heirs don't want parent's time sharea. Way cheaper to spend a week at a motel resort.
