- A very enjoyable afternoon spent at the always amazing station of Doncaster on the East Coast Mainline where we we plenty of services from London Northestern Railway, Northern, Grand Central, Cross Country, Hull Trains, Transpennine Express and a couple of light engine moves from DB Cargo UK.
Doncaster Station was constructed in 1849, there was a station at this site a year earlier but it was more of a tempory station in the grand scheme of things.
The station itself hasn't really changed, it went through a period of being rebuilt and finally finished in 1938. Since then the station hasn't changed all that much, the only real change has come when the frenchgate shopping centre was connected to the station. The newest addition to the station family comes in the form of the new platform. This was to be known as platform 0, this platform is only used by terminating Northern services from Hull, Beverley, Bridlington and Scarborough. This was done to release some space in the main station for Cross Country services and London Northeastern Services to avoid delays.
My next station is Leeds.
You can now find me on Facebook through the group Tornado922, there you will find regular updates, videos and photos from all of my goings on throughout 2018 - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Fantastic video!? I like the way that the East Coast Mainline has different companies operating the inter-city services.
The East Coast Mainline certainly has the greatest amount of variety for the various intercity services
Always great to watch mate
Thank you very much for saying so
Great to see the likes of Sheffield and Doncaster being covered again. Can't wait for your next instalment.
I try and get around to as many places as I can :) Sometimes I do try and get to stations I haven't done before to give a greater variety, I'm glad you enjoyed the films :)
nice to see you back at my home station of Doncaster.
I try and get there at least once a year
Another amazing video
Thanks ever so much I'm glad you liked it :)
You Picked excellent timing to upload this yet another fantastic clip Jarred on the 80th anniversary of Mallard's Record-Breaking run down Stoke bank
It's almost like I had it planned ;) it was just by pure chance that I got this up on the day in question. Still a very momentous occasion knowing that it was 80 years ago when Mallard broke that record
Beautiful day, even if Mother nature was passing wind all over. Took a bit, yet well worth the wait for the ol'habit to kick in! Great looking station quite busy as well for the most part, lots of action. Nice work, Congrats on Cup win! B.P.
It was an amazing day, the weather certainly helped. Albeit the wind at the start which was a tad annoying
Mother Nature wants her cameo as well! B.P.
Amazing video! 🚅🚄🚆☺☀️⛅
Thanks very much for saying so, I'm glad you liked it :)
This is amazing
I'm glad you think so
Great video
Thanks very much
Excellent video and a like from me👍
Thanks very much for saying so :)
One station I've dreamed of visiting. Might have to go here once I've moved up to Macclesfield later this year.
Love those 322s. Any of those classes are just great trains (320s, 321s, 332s)
It's a great station to come to, highly recommended, there always something good to see here. From light engine movements to HST's giving it the beans.
@@Tornado922 can you do Hereford?
Yes fantastic video 😊😊😊👍👍👍👍
Thanks very much for saying so
Tornado922 your welcome
GREAT VIDEO.
GREAT TO BE BACK ON THE EAST COAST AGAIN.
T.T.P.F.
Thanks ever so much, I do enjoy coming onto the ECML
This is so weird how they change the types of trains like London Midland now called London Northwestern Railway and now Virgin Trains East Coast is called London Northeastern Railway but anyways great video by the way and keep up the good work. 😊😉😀👍
Well when the franchises are up for bidding then really any company can use a name. It's just nice seeing the names of the former companies making a comeback to our railways
Another great video as always, love the 91s as well they're so loud
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :) The 91's definitely announce their presence :)
Amazing video torndo 922
Thanks very much I'm glad you like it :)
Hi there hsts are greatly missed

Another Fantastic Video Here Tornado922 :)
Hey mate I started making train videos myself wouldn't mind a sub if you would like to
I'm glad you enjoyed watching this
Damn I was at Doncaster, I got off the 1316 to Hull and I got on the 1343 to Leeds
I went to Leeds the same day
Can you please do it in Lowestoft please
Fitting that a video at Doncaster station was uploaded on the 80th anniversary of Mallard's record
It's almost like I had it planned ;)
Haha, nice one. I was at the station on the 3rd July to go to the NRM and of course the first LNER service I went on was late.... Also when I was wating for my train a class 88 was running on diesil power going into the works area.
Me and Charlie are off to Reading (again) on Friday after Reading it will be London Paddington
Enjoy your time
20:30 couldn't of picked a nicer day to go to Scarborough
I like the London north eastern trains DVT
Let me know when you're going to start the GWR mainline to London Paddington Station.
I'll be starting that series tomorrow
Oh should say hello
You're always welcome to
There has to be a valenta HST love them
Well maybe one day the famous engine will make a comeback
Tornado922 wrong it's not famous
Keiran Clarke the valenta engine was the original engine used in the HST's that gave them their scream when powering away along with plenty of clag
Tornado922 oh ok i know they have plenty of clag but I wouldn't call it famous
Keiran Clarke I would
hey mate what camera do you use to record your videos
I use a Samsung Galaxy Tablet
+Tornado922 ah okay intresting thanks
Is this your first video featuring LNER?
Yes it is :)
I thought it was virgin not LNER did they change it
Daniel Lindsay yes they did on the 24th June.
Interesting Sam oh I didn’t know they changed it lol
Interesting Sam thanks for telling me though
Great Video. :) LNER is back after being taken into Public Ownership from Virgin Stagecoach. I was expecting all 225s, HSTs and 800s to be rebranded in the Flying Scotsman Green Colour but nevertheless LNER are in the former VTEC colours but they still bring back nostalgia to the East Coast Mainline not seen in more than 80 years since the 1930s. Of course LNER still run the daily Sunderland HST service via Newcastle and the regular Edinburgh services, thrice daily Aberdeen services, daily Inverness Services and twice daily Stirling service. The 800s are being introduced on the East Coast Mainline but because the line is in popular demand I believe all the LNER 800 sets should have 11 coaches like the Virgin Pendolinos instead of 5 and 9 coach sets. Even under LNER there will be a daily HST service to Huddersfield via Leeds and the 800s are ideal for LNER to run twice-hourly Aberdeen services via Edinburgh. It would be good if LNER did through services between Aberdeen and Brighton and the South Coast via the Canal Tunnels used by the Thameslink 700s.
It is good to see the LNER back on the ECML, as for there livery being changed I don't think they have anything planned. Because the LNER is just a temporary measure until they can find a new operator I think they are just putting their logo on the fleet. I could be wrong, I would like to see a new livery come out or even a retro livery acknowledging the former company. The 800's will come in various lengths so I'm sure if the demand on the line increases then they can just whack two together :)
Thought virgin trains east coast ran the LNER services
Thomas Griffiths no VTEC used to be the operator on the ECML but the franchise was revoked because of financial issues. So the government are now running the line under the name LNER
It's London and north eastern railway, London and north western has replaced London midland.
HA Level Crossings And Trains I know.
4:42 Sounds like a 80 year old vacuum cleaner.
At the start you missed transpennine express
That usually happens with my channel
Where has VTEC gone
They have been terminated, it was announced months ago that the ECML franchise had failed so the Government had to bail out VTEC. And in turn has reintroduced the LNER to the ECML
For 91102 you said 92102
I didn't realise I did that, thanks for letting me know
Driver of 91122 wasn’t hanging around, forward selected I’m off
When in doubt just put your foot down!! He must have wanted to get back for the football
Either that or rushing to the loo
Can you do seml
southern trains. 377 I have a question;
Is a class 377 your favourite train because it’s my favourite.
tbds 77 yes I absolutely love them
I will be going down on that line soon
Tornado922 OK mate I hope to see your great videos in the southeast.
I was there
What part of the station were you at?
South of platform 3 Doncaster i was
Ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaa
Bring virgin trains east coast back
It would be nice but it seems LNER are doing a good job so far
10:42
What is your next stop I wish I can meet you I’m a TH-camber
I'm going to Cardiff on the 7th
The ECML has lost its virginity
That's almost very clever
Ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaa
Getting all the LNER things wrong aren't you.
It's not a case of me getting them wrong. If you were listening to the commentary throughout you would've heard me say that near enough all the trains were running late which in turn was throwing everything out of order
Sorry
First like!!!
I’m liking the camera quality
tbds 77 Yes it Is Fantastic Camera quality. I agree :)
Thanks I subbed to you cool channel
Why do you comment about being the first like? It's not really an achievement, just comment on the video.
Yeah who give a crap
Sort of ruined due to the talking, :/ Nice video anyway,
Well I do commentary in my films. If you don't like it don't watch it.
Yeah Trainspotting Junction
