Flying UK to Bali - what you need to know in 2023!

Our experience flying to Bali from Scotland was pretty smooth except from our layover in Doha - we only just managed to get to our flight on time!
We had a one and a half hour layover in Doha and it is a huge airport. The transfer was simple but we had to join a large queue where we showed our passport, boarding pass and COVID-19 vaccination certificate. After this queue we had to run to our gate to get there on time. So just be aware of this when booking flights with a short layover.
At Bali airport we were in the immigration queue for about 50 minutes. The visa queue and declaration form queue were very quick!
Top tips:
🌟 Documents you need: passport, boarding pass & COVID-19 vaccination
🌟 It's easier to get your entry visa at the airport rather than in advance.
🌟 Complete your Custom Declaration Form in advance.
🌟 Ask around for prices for taxi transfers (We booked Grab Taxi for 370,600 IDR approx.)

What vaccination certificate are you referring to COVID? MMR? Hep C etc????

Hi there just regarding covid documents, did you have to scan any barcodes or Qatar airways just look at your paper certificate?
Also is the app still in use at the airport?

Qatar just looked at the certificates. Ours had the barcode on the paper certificates but they didn’t scan them or anything. Bali didn’t look at them at all!

@@cgeo128 no we didn’t use it at all. We had downloaded it just in case they asked but it didn’t work for us anyway. I wouldn’t worry too much about it 😊
