Hunting rifles would be a somewhere I will differ from you on the fully loaded thing. We keep the rounds in the magazine, and only ever chamber a round when you are ready to shoot at the animal. We don't use safety catches on hunting rifles, as that is unreliable in a hunting situation. Where you would put the safety on, we take the round out of the chamber.
@@vortexedge4492 actually a good point. There is a lot of different gun/hunting ways of doing (culture) things in different places. The distrust of a safety is a very South Africa hunters thing.
Hey guys just started watching your podcast 2 days ago, and I think you forgot to mention that depending on what state you live in, if you have a permit to carry concealed and you have a light mounted to your firearm (handgun) if you are out at night and a noise startles you and you point that weapon with a light on it you can actually go to jail and loose all you gun right for brandishing a weapon and also for pointing a firearm at someone. So the lights for home defense yes otherwise carry a good pen light out in public if you need a weapon light

That is a way to do it as well. We are not saying this is the end all for everyone, just the way some of us do it around these parts.
