- When it comes to buying the best Long-Range ammo, there's no "One size fits all" answer. In this episode, Instructor Corey explains why certain types of ammo that work great for others might not work for you, and how you can find the best shooting, most consistent ammo for your rifle. We also discuss why buying in bulk from the same "Lot" of ammunition can save you the headache of dealing with inconsistencies in your ammo, even when it's all the same type from the same manufacturer.

So true on the lot numbers. My buddy's 308 was shooting awesome with American Whitetail 150gr until he changed to a new box and couldn't hold better than 6 MOA. He thought his Vortex scope went bad and was about to remove it, but I handed him 3 of my reloads and he clover-leafed those 3 shots. He got a bad box of ammo because the gun and scope were shooting great.
Ammo sensitivity is real and proven with that exact scenario.

Love all my vortex products and was really appreciative of the budget models when I was in college just a few years ago
My wife's Winchester in 6.5 PRC came with a Vortex Diamondback installed and boresight zeroed by the seller (manager special). Took it to the range and it was only hitting 1 inch low at 300 yards! Smallest grouping I have ever fired at that distance! Thanks for the videos and and for making amazing optics!

Love it! Thank you! Would love more info in bullets in AR15 platform, especially shooting at extended ranges, with .223 and 1/7 and 1/8 twist rates. Hate to add barrel lengths, but maybe limit to 16" and greater? Great info. Excited to hear more on a number of topics.

I don’t normally leave comments on video’s, but when I do its because someone’s dangling a carrot on a stick.
Never bought match grade because I haven't done long range shooting, but I've always liked the art of it. I get the concept though because it's similar to defense ammo. Built for a purpose, so shop for a purpose.
Only optics that touch my rifles anymore!!! Have not used the pistol optics yet though

Vortex is pretty cool
I’ve typically only shot my rifle at 100-200 yards for hunting. I am now looking to head west for mule deer so learning about longer distance shooting. (Yes, practice is definitely in order)
What are you guys considering “long range” shooting?
Would love to hear more about hunting marksmanship.
We do have a Hunter Marksmanship course that we shoot out to 500 yards and our long range pipeline we shoot out to 1000 yards. Definitely more on these topics to come!
Haven't really go into long range shooting yet. My range maxes out at 300 yards but I do have an 18" 5.56 SPR with match barrel and a 2.5-10x scope. Looking to rebarrel it to 6mm ARC and start dabbling in long range shooting. I do want to get a 6.5 Creedmoor bolt gun down the road.
I Love Vortex and I’m a loyal customer for life. The Venom is my favorite optic out and I would love to test out the new defender, hook me up!!! :)

Long Range shooting is a fun challenge.
I've only shot to 100 yards, that's the majority of the local ranges. I did find one that goes to 500 & joined it
