Todd's Dad - Please don't worry what people are saying. Your opinion is the only one that matters. Todd's button pushing led you to get Galmour to the vet and confirm there was something she was dealing with that you were previously unaware.
I don't understand how people don't see this as real communication. Todd so clearly thinks about what he wants to say, and deliberately presses the buttons he needs to make himself understood. He is so smart and thoughtful.
People don’t want this to be real because then they are accountable for the things they do to living and intelligent beings. Todd clearly is remembering stuff and processing it with you in the best way he can. He is thinking and remembering. He has emotions surround that time not positive and negative and like a child he is processing that. Thank you for standing on this!! It’s true!!
So, you feel that a cat can understand the concept of time and can translate that into human terms? I don't think so and I have two cats and I love them but its a complex concept and there is no way that this owner can explain that, or that there is evidence he has done so. Maybe he should explain he is not the cats Daddy too?
Before I was aware of how much animals hated fireworks I had a little dog that I took everywhere. I went to a July 1 (Canada Day here) to see the fireworks. The dog was freaked out for days after . I think it affected him for long time. Many years later even my farm animals reacted to my neighbor's fireworks display. I do believe it is a painful experience and stays with them .
People who say "hes just pressing random buttons" wont believe any hard evidence it's the opposite. They just don't want accept the fact that pets have conscious mind that we do just communicate differently, because that would mean most animals have it and we torture conscious being for commodity.
Yes. Humans only differ from other animals in our capacity for language and communication. Our knowledge can be refined over centuries of passing down information, animals dont get that luxury. People who cant acknowledge the understanding and communication these buttons introduce are just in denial, wanting to pretend that animals are stupid creatures or that we deserve our spot as the dominant species.
I’m holding my breath that there are more people in the US who get this than not, so that they won’t elect an authoritarian theocratic regime which _will_ ban channels like this one at some point because everything about Todd’s communication is antithetical to their purpose and thus a threat to their power. And that US structures will be able to withstand the coup attempt that will inevitably accompany their loss, a steal they’ve been laying the groundwork for all year. Please anyone in the US, know what your vote can do both to yourself and the rest of us around the world. No Todd’s Chronicles would be the least of it, unfortunately.
I lived with a cat for twenty years of my life, before he passed on. I didn't have one of these word things, but after living with any creature for long enough, you can get a sense for what they're thinking and feeling. I love that you and Todd have this understanding. More than just stimulating the algorithm though, I wanted to suggest that you try making some sort of soundproofing for the next time there's fireworks. Depending on your resources, that could be a full room, or a carrier. Soundproof foam, noise absorbing curtains and drapes; there's probably other things you could do, too. My cat had a large cardboard box that I built into a soundproofed nest, and whenever it got too loud outside, he would curl up in it.
Agree strongly about providing Todd with something simple as suggested for the loud noise that really bothers him. Very good idea since a Cat's hearing is many times more sensitive than a humans!
Book a pet friendly air-conditioned accommodation for the fourth of July. Well in advance in an area with burn bans for forest fires and no public display.
Well I was wondering about that. Did she flinch or twist or jump in response to the sound and strain her back or aggravate it? We'll never know for sure but I find it curious that Todd seems to link the events.
Cats are so smart. They don’t forget things or people. When I go visit my parents, their cat who is 17 years old starts hollering and following me around the house as soon as I come in. She wants all my attention. I can only imagine all the things she would tell me if she had buttons to push. She was originally my cat when she was little & when I still lived with them. Cats are the best. 😻
It's strange there are people arguing Todd isn't really communicating. He clearly looks for specific buttons and then deliberately pushes it and looks at you to make sure you heard. Even if his syntax and grammar can be nonstandard, he's communicating in a way which is intelligible. Even when he said Glamour before happy ouch, you could easily guess he means 'What was going on with Glamour before, now is happied ouch' meaning what was talked about before with Todd, he's letting you know the pain is better now. Sure it takes a little thinking, but his progress and ability to learn new words and associate them with ideas and objects is quite impressive. The types of people who would spew a whole lot in the comments trying to debunk it are the types of people who wouldn't think before they speak, let alone listen to what someone is saying and giving it any thought. Todd and you both are an inspiration, it's really amazing to see the effort people are going to these days to communicate more with their pets.
What helped my kitties when scary moment was to say "it's gone bye-bye " like after new visitor left, or loud noise like truck, fireworks etc. It seemed to help them know it was gone, it was over. They knew what bye-bye meant already. Todd so intelligent. ❤😊
I do the same with my cats and dogs. The fireworks on July 4 and New Years I call the ‘pow pow pow’ and thunder is the ‘big boom’. I start early if it’s the holiday or a storm is coming, and I will tell them, ‘The pow pow pow is coming, but it will go bye-bye’. Then when the noise is gone, I say, see? The pow pow pow (or big boom) went bye bye. None of them ever stress during fireworks or storms any more. They just lay around like normal.
My Cats weren't so happy about firework noise...then One of the Girls Noticed the Fireworks Display...she had them All watching it... After that, if they heard a Boom, they looked in the sky for it. They actually ended up Really liking fireworks 🎆. Cats are Smart
Watching these videos just blows me away. Todd's ability to say and identify what he is observing in Glamour and be able to express his anxiety about the fireworks. Being able to tell Daddy must relieve Todd's worry so much. ❤❤❤❤❤
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalksYes it is sooo clear. He is not afraid anymore but he WAS. And like people say it to each other, Todd is doing this too. Why not?! He is sensitive and has language. So Dad is right. Long and clever sentences❤
Maybe he wanted to express that Glamour also had a bad time during the fireworks and was also happy afterwards? That would be a nice thing to say on her behalf.
I always say this to my cats and my patients at work after I give them treats (I'm a vet tech) and I show them my hands and twist my wrist so they can see my empty hands and say all gone lol
I think a lot of people don’t give enough credit to animals, their intelligence, their thoughts, and their emotions. So glad to see Todd ( and other animals) using these assistive buttons.
This super inteligent little fellow never ceases to amaze me with both his intelligence and his concern for others and his cuteness, he is one in a million! I completed adding more sound suppresion to my music room and so Giuseppe Puss and I have been spending the evenings in there and we don't hear the fireworks in there anymore, I could slightly hear the fireworks after adding more sound panels but just adding small squares of the foam to the corners of the windows stopped me hearing the fireworks completely, I believe the window was acting as a speaker for the outside sounds and the foam stopped the window vibrating as much.
As we in the U.K. prepare for Bonfire night (Nov 5) it’s helpful that Todd’s reminded us how much cats hate fireworks. Not that there’s much we can do about them going off for the next 10 days
Well, you can raise awareness of the problem with others. You can investigate ways to insulate homes and buildings, to lessen the problem. You can petition for fewer days of fireworks. IT’S AIR AND NOISE POLLUTION!!! Why should taxpayers pay for all these displays, when there are other worthy expenditures.
Guy Fawkes is just one night or two at most. The trouble is with the incessant “Diwali” fireworks. Given that it’s a festival of Light, apparently, why can’t they use silent fireworks? They do exist.
You're the only one experiencing the conversations. Anyone commenting from these videos, no matter how contiuous they are, are only getting a small taste of what you are experiencing. Go with what you believe. (And for what it's worth, I have a background in Psych and I do believe you and Todd are having conversations.)
I agree with you that Todd is clearly telling you about his concerns. My cat communicates with words also. She is so sensitive, thoughtful, and empathetic. Every day uses words to tell me what she is thinking about. She displays concern for me every day.
Todd thinks, looks over the buttons and chooses one. And it makes sense. I'm blown away. The "help" broke my heart. I'm so glad you went, cuddled and reassured him! ❤
WOW! That's amazing. Being aware of self, others and connecting when 'ouch' occurred and why, then saying it's better now. One clever and determined cat wishing to express himself. Amazing. 💖🌟🐱
Universities in many countries have recognized and studied animal intelligence. Military organizations have also studied this and worked with animals. For me, it’s a “ given” that the sentience is there and now the communication buttons enables us to have a more direct communication between humans and animals. So heartwarming to see that this is now possible in our own homes and with our pets/ animals on a regular basis. The results are beneficial to both humans and animals. Todd is such a sweet cat. Being able to communicate with him makes the bond between you and him even deeper. A positive for any human/ animal relationship. I love to watch the progress. Thank you!
You can see when he's looking down at the buttons that he's trying to work out which one he needs to push to get his thoughts across. I'm not surprised at all that he's still bothered by the fireworks. Animals have far more sensitive hearing than we do. Having all that going on and not knowing why or how to get it to stop is stressful.
Most animals dislike fireworks, thunderstorms, blow dryers, vacuums and trains. These sounds are loud to us and tremendously loud to them. I am glad laser light shows are becoming more common. 🙏💕
I still can't get over how he connects his thoughts, and how he is chronologically correct ... I have believed for a long time that human babies, and animals, if given the opportunity as you have, could communicate with us in ways we never thought possible. My Godson, I swear, understood everything I said when he was pre-verbal. I mean almost from being newborn. One day, when he was a few months old, I had to clean out his little nose. I didn't like that suction thing, so I was just going to get a Qtip. But I was afraid he'd jerk or move and the Qtip would either go up his nose, or in his eye. I had him on his back, and laid my hand across his forehead to keep his head still. He kept fighting me, he did NOT want me to hold his head down. So I explained to him what I was doing, and that he couldn't move at all (I always talked to him like an adult, from the day he was born). He laid there and let me clean out both his nostrils without moving an inch. I was amazed. Babies are highly intelligent.
I've thought that for a long time; but was too chicken to say it outloud (can't give the mockers more ammunition). Now that I'm older, my experiences have confirmed my ideas and I don't care what the naysayers think. How cool is it that babies & animals can learn our language and then express their thoughts well enough to communicate! 🤗
There is now a large body of clinical evidence showing animals are way more sentient than we’ve ever given them credit for in the past. For example, mri scans have revealed their brain chemistry, particularly in mammals, has shown to be pretty much on par with humans. The work you’re doing with Todd is actually an informal but strong contribution to this research. And Todd is certainly a wonderful little fellow. I would point anyone wanting to know more to view Carl Safina’s TED talk “What are animals thinking & feeling?”
Poor Todd, to think our kitten kitties get that upset about such noises and that they remain anxious for so long. I am watching your videos because they help me understand my fur babies better. Before, I did not think they worried for so long about scary things. Todd is so loveable and especially when he is concerned for others. Thank you for sharing these videos with us!
I’ve had cats for 60 years, I understand them better than I do people. I always knew there was a lot more than meets the eyes; they can be amazingly perceptive, sensitive, funny, petty, loyal and smart. I even had two cats who could communicate detailed information in some way, I don’t know how other than telepathically. But Todd has shown me that there’s even more than I knew. I. Particularly touched by his concern for Glamour - I didn’t know cats were so concerned for others (mother cats notwithstanding). I ordered a set of. 6 talking buttons and will soon begin teaching my smart little girl cat. Thank you for sharing this amazing journey with us, Todd’s dad!
I highly recommend putting wooden shutters and insulated curtains on the windows of areas where sensitive animals are staying. Having a crate with radiant barrier draped over it is also an option. You can add blankets over it, as needed.
This type of deciphering reminds me of people who learn to understand the cries of babies. Although you can say that Todd is "verbal", there's a need for both the human and non-human animals to string together words in a way that both can understand. Poor Glamour, but she has Todd as her spokesman!
The problem with acceptance of Animals having true cognition and being able to understand and also communicate with Human Language is that cats and Dogs do not bother with English or whatever languages syntax. Syntax is the rules for where words are placed in sentences so we can make sense of the words. Todd is thinking clearly, he's communicating, but he is also not stringing words in 'Sensible order." It also bothers the denies that many animals learning and using buttons to communicate take a while to think how best to express what they intend to say. The Deniers assume this implies a lack of intelligence; I say they are literally translating their thoughts into the native tongue of their Parents/Owners. And that mental translation can be hard for many humans learning to be Bi-Lingual so why would any Animal not have some difficulty doing so? Also, the way Animals Think is obvious very different than how Humans think. This is not about IQ, but about how thoughts are formed, visualized, and labeled in whichever Brain and Mind you look at, Human, Canine, Feline. I am not trying to Humanize Todd when I say he is obviously thinking and planning as he expresses himself. He makes sense, especially to Dad who has all the context to Todd's communications, but even when we're not seeing every second of the day on camera, Todd makes sense, simple yet clear and easy sense. Thanks for this compilation, Dad and Todd! PS Let us not forget that Todd also displayed Compassion and worry for Glamour when she was in Pain. Mom and dad would have realized this eventually; Todd explained the situation so Glamour's suffering was shortened by days or weeks, however long it might have been until her behavior made it clear she was in pain. Compassion is a subtle energy more than an emotion. It cannot come from Judgment. And Todd was not sympathetic, since he was not feeling Glamour's pain himself. He was compassionate, and sought to help his Pridemate to end her suffering as quickly as possible. He knew Dad could do this for her too. That's a complex understanding. All in all, Todd is a fine example of how Animals can and always have been Thinking creatures, self-aware, and able to feel complex emotions. He's truly amazing, a hidden Gem that Sceince really needs to observe closely and without Bias.
Well put. Animals communicate telepathically and Todd is trying to translate the information. Humans have forgotten how to think telepathically. Animals are highly intelligent evolved beings, we think they're not because we can't communicate with them.
For the fireworks noise, I would maybe suggest something like maybe using a medium-sized plastic container that you can cut a small opening in for a cat to come a go as they like, & then getting some soundproofing tiles to attach to the container to create a makeshift sound-repelling, safe-space box. That way Todd can have a little area he can escape from all that nasty sound from. I know there are some pre-manufactured acoustic cat houses on the market currently, but the prices, of course, vary wildly.
We believe! Todd is precious and has shown animals DO have something to say of value and worth!!❤️❤️❤️❤️😍Thank you for sharing and showing this wonderful interaction, you’re an awesome fur baby Dad!!
There is absolutely not one shred of doubt in my mind from watching many, many of your videos of Todd and your interactions with him that he is a thoughtful being, quite able to reflect on past and future events. He remembers things that have happened, he feels deeply, and he wants to share with you because he loves and trusts you. Anyone who has watched his communication with you will know that. It is a privilege to share even a little of your time together. Thank you. Be gone, foul doubters!!
I love your videos! I'm a long life cat lover and cat parent, you're videos help prove what we cat lovers know ,that they are smarter than they get credit ❤
I know how Todd feels about fireworks, I have to leave my neighborhood and go to a hotel for two days to avoid them. And there are STILL people who use them (in smaller amounts) on the 5th or 6th of July! Poor guy, he's so sweet. Such a smart, beautiful kitty.
Wow, I kinda wonder if he is trying to show dad that he still remembers these things, or to check if dad remembers. Or perhaps he is trying to understand if there is a link between these things... Or maybe even trying to explain why he needs you to be at home with him every day 😂 It's fun to wonder about it!
Todd is absolutely expressing his thoughts, some of them pretty complex. He pushes certain buttons to get those thoughts across as best he can. He's not simply pushing buttons to get food and treats. This instance with Glamour's back is a perfect example.
Nothing Todd does is random or thoughtless. It isn't just buttons it's also body language, and actions, everything is in context, in time and place, past present and future. It's not just 1 or 2 random words that may be relevant, it's everything he says and does, makes total sense. Dad and Todd, Paulie and Glamour, all just carry on as usual please, being happy and loving, having fun and talking together. There's always negative people in the world, that's ok, the majority of us know Todd is super awesome with a huge IQ ❤❤❤❤
Absolutely amazing. I watch many button channels, and there is no doubt he knows what he is saying. Like humans, some are quicker at learning things than others.
This! Dad knows Todd and can figure out better than anyone what he means. My humble opinion,is the same.Makes perfect sense. Thanks so much for sharing Todd,Glamour, and Paulie and a small bit of your life with them.❤
Watching the videos, you get to know Todd a bit and you see the themes in his life and his personality. He's very thoughtful. You can also tell the difference between his living arrangements and other talking cats' arrangements in how he refers to things. It's so very interesting. His world is small but he's interacting with it.
I would LOVE to HV one of these boards for my kitties! I can only imagine what they'd say. They're already VERY VOCAL!!! I LOVE YOUR DEDICATION to your fur babies, thank you so much for sharing!
I love watching Todd and everyone on your website. You and your wife always treats all your kitties with such respect. You are perfect pet owners. Even Spicey Glamour is treated like a queen. I’m so glad Todd made it known about her back. Todd is so smart. Bless you all.
Todd is a wonderful communicator with his dad. Todd very much knows what he is trying to tell dad and he isn’t doing random button pushing. It’s sad people want to criticize and dispute Todd’s communication with dad. Dad keep up the great content that you put out and know there are way more people that believe in Todd and you. Love your channel ❤
You and Todd are amazing! This made perfect sense to me the first time I watched the original. It was actually one I watched early on into finding this channel. That made me go back to watch the previous fireworks one and about glamours back. It was around the time another kitty that used buttons I watched passed away, BillieSpeaks, that I found your channel so Todd caught my attention right away. I felt like watching him was almost like in memory of her. Even being a newer subscriber I can see how much you've worked with/for Todd and it's amazing to see him learn. If he was just pressing buttons he would chose any of them and/or use same one over and over. He's a cat trying to learn English guys give him a break from not having perfect grammar!
These clips are all from back when it happened. Dad just put them all in one video for context, for the people who thought the long sentence was just random presses. But that's not to say he doesn't still remember it all now... I'm quite sure he does!
@@mirjanbouma Oh I know you have, I recognize you! But a lot of people here seem to think this is a new video of him still talking about these events (asking if something from Halloween triggered him, wondering if he's still dreaming about it, if he has PTSD, etc), and your comment made it seem like maybe you were one of them. I was surprised, because I thought you'd know better! 🤗
Fireworks terrify animals. When I saw what it does to animals I just hate fireworks now. Todd knows exactly what he is saying and knows what the buttons mean. Anyone that is denying that just refuse the truth. We have a group of those in this country.
Nothing about Todds communication is random. He is a highly astute learner. I get so much pleasure from seeing your videos of Todd Glamor and Paulie. Thank you for sharing these amazing cats with us x 😘
I remember that, when Todd let you know that Glamour's back was hurting her, which led to you taking her to the vet, and he was right, and Glamour got some medicine for it, leading to her getting better. Also, remember his with the fireworks. He's not only very smart, but I think he remembers all these things, because he feels things so deeply. He is an empath. Todd is a very unique cat, (said as a cat owner myself). Both super intelligent and super empathetic. It comes from his dad's time, dedication, love and devotion to him. 😻 👍
What amazes me about this is Todd's ability to understand the concept of time. He knows what was in the past and what it is now. Also cats have such communication going on they can tell what physical troubles they have to one and other. Amazing!
Todd is doing many things at once, understanding English, then he has to abbreviate and 'dumb it down' and use txt spk, and somehow get across from what words he has at his disposal, an order, so that context is within it too, to make enough sense out of it all, in a pidgin English kind of way, for Dad to get it. Our brains just ache! Regarding fireworks, taking the endless torture factor that now goes on for weeks either side of a national celebration, back to a level of respect to the community you're part of, is something we can all do from this very moment of reading this onwards. With Fireworks, always stick to the day, or use sparklers any other day - and let's all keep it that way! All done! 😻
We all process things at our own speed, and I think it's great that Todd can let you know how he is thinking through things around him. Hugs to the kitties.
Todd is so brilliant. He shouldn’t at this point in the game, but he continues to surprise me every day that I watch him! His memory is impeccable! Such a smart, sweet boy! ❤What an angel!!!😇
Now that you know the fireworks upset him and presumably the other cats so much, you can try to prepare them for the loud noise next year. Let them know the noises are going to happen (when the time comes) so maybe they won't be as scared. Todd is amazing 🤩
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks I like the idea others have mentioned here of creating a sound proof retreat for the cats. Probably easier than getting them to wear earplugs! LOL
I suggest taking two really big boxes, one a few inches smaller than the other, and stuffing the space in between with acoustic foam. Drape old clothes, curtains, etc. around the box for further soundproofing. You now have a quiet place for Todd and the others to hide in if there is too much noise outside.
This is amazing. The fact that he remembers, can put it all in a timeline and convey it to you is absolutely fascinating. I really wish people like mister Galaxy would open up to this more.
I am beyond sad that Jackson Galaxy disbelieves the buttons. It’s so clear! In both Billi’s (RIP) and Todd’s cases, we see that some cats are really into the buttons, and other cats aren’t. Glamour has no real interest in leaning the buttons for herself. She just lets Todd communicate for her! 😂 If scientists tried to introduce buttons to Glamour in isolation, they would probably conclude they don’t work, because they don’t work FOR HER. Not because she lacks the capacity, I believe, but because she lacks the WILL to learn and use them. She doesn’t care enough. Basically, we are asking THEM to learn a foreign language to speak to US. It works better when we can also understand a bit of THEIR language. Todd’s dad is caring and empathetic, and has learned to understand Todd’s body language and other non-verbals to go along with the buttons, so he can figure it out with some effort. Between them, they get to a mutual understanding, if somewhat crude and haphazard. It’s rather like the time I was in Portugal. I know a bit of Spanish, but no Portuguese. Many of the merchants, taxi drivers, etc., knew a tiny bit of English. Because Spanish is so close to Portuguese, the combination of English and Spanish - and some gestures- would eventually get us there, even though we had no common language in which both were fluent. This feels very similar to me. There are some people who are truly mono-lingual, and a few that don’t even speak one language fluently for various reasons. Buttons and other assistive technology can be helpful in bridging the gaps when words or sign/gestural languages are inadequate. When HUMANS fail to communicate in this situation, we don’t assume that ALL people lack the CAPACITY for communication. We figure out what THIS human needs, and offer tech or alternative forms of language to bridge the gap. The buttons are a tangible form of Anne Sullivan’s signing into Helen Keller’s hand. They unlock the potential for others to understand and communicate with the intelligence previously obscured by lack of shared language.
We do believe cats can comunicante with us. My cats do that all the time. They are smart, funny and adorable ❤ Thank you for sharing with us such an amazing experience. Love you. Take care. Loving greetings from Brazil ❤
The way Todd stretches or yawns while he is thinking makes me look at our guy doing this after we ask him a question or when he comes over to us and we know he is wanting something. Some may think they are bored or uninterested, but I think different. I believe he is thinking too.
❤ Todd knows what he's doing, he communicates with you in his own way. Some people just believe animals are incapable of this, even with the evidence shows otherwise.
There is plenty of room to critique the use of AIC, and skepticism is not in itself a bad thing. But the way the skeptics constantly insist the animals are pressing buttons "at random" for attention... how can you watch these videos and think that?? Like, so much depends on the owner's oracular interpretation of sometimes less-than-clear phrases, and there is room for doubt.* But RANDOM?? Are you kidding me??? * Though, honestly, the same could be said for interpreting human toddlers!
Todd's Dad - Please don't worry what people are saying. Your opinion is the only one that matters. Todd's button pushing led you to get Galmour to the vet and confirm there was something she was dealing with that you were previously unaware.

Some people aren't very smart, especially if they rely on being clever 🙄
What helped my kitties when scary moment was to say "it's gone bye-bye " like after new visitor left, or loud noise like truck, fireworks etc. It seemed to help them know it was gone, it was over. They knew what bye-bye meant already. Todd so intelligent. ❤😊
Mine understood when I would say "It's okay" with a specific intonation. They would calm down right away.
I think us being able to talk it through helps him a lot.
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalksYes it is sooo clear. He is not afraid anymore but he WAS. And like people say it to each other, Todd is doing this too. Why not?! He is sensitive and has language. So Dad is right. Long and clever sentences❤
Noise before, then ouch, then Glamour happy. Smart boy!! It's amazing to see how a kitty can reflect on the past like this.
Maybe he wanted to express that Glamour also had a bad time during the fireworks and was also happy afterwards? That would be a nice thing to say on her behalf.
@@LarsV62 So he's become her majesty's press secretary 😂
If Todd keeps talking about the fireworks, tell him "all gone."
till New Years Eve or next year 😂 😂
Yes, I tell mine " it's gone bye-bye ". It helps like you say till next time.
It is beyond adorable how Todd cares for the other kitties...so sweet 🥰
The people who are disagreeing have not been around cats and therefore are unable to understand their intelligence.
Its brilliant the way he strings thoughts together to get his message across, thank you fur baby Todd and dad.🐾🐾🐾😻😺😻
I just want to cry when he does this. He cares about her and is trying to speak for her. I think about how many animals have ouch and cannot tell us.
Maybe we all need to take a page out of Todd’s book and take our sweet time doing everything.
Or just to think before we speak.
Todd needs a yes and no button to answer your questions.
He has them. He uses them as qualifiers though. Happy No. Bird Toy Yes.
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks I don't know why, but this feels like such a cat way of thinking! It's very cute that he uses them in that way ❤
I agree with you that Todd is clearly telling you about his concerns. My cat communicates with words also. She is so sensitive, thoughtful, and empathetic. Every day uses words to tell me what she is thinking about. She displays concern for me every day.
Aww bless her! So sweet to hear about her. ❤
This level of complexity is quite an achievement, both for Todd to learn and dad to teach.
Todd is so smart.
Todd thinks, looks over the buttons and chooses one. And it makes sense. I'm blown away. The "help" broke my heart. I'm so glad you went, cuddled and reassured him! ❤
This is seriously amazing. Animals are very intelligent. I love seeing Todd communicate! ❤❤
Thank you!
I adore Todd. ❤❤❤ He’s a rockstar in my book.
Awww breaks my heart that he hates that noise. He is amazing.
My cats hide under the bed for that and thunderstorms
What a special bond you have. It's so amazing to me. ❤
Wow, Todd just straight up recapping his summer 😮😊
This is a compilation of videos from months ago, he is not saying these things right now.
@orngjce223 yes read that in the description. He still is summarizing previous events.
This is wonderful. So glad to have met Todd and Dad. I do support Dad’s interpretation in this clip😊 Thanks for sharing
Todd is such a special kitty. I love him so much.
I highly recommend putting wooden shutters and insulated curtains on the windows of areas where sensitive animals are staying. Having a crate with radiant barrier draped over it is also an option. You can add blankets over it, as needed.
You're prividing proof that cats think and comprehend. Keep sharing experiences. I can't wait to see what Todd is capable of! ❤️
This type of deciphering reminds me of people who learn to understand the cries of babies. Although you can say that Todd is "verbal", there's a need for both the human and non-human animals to string together words in a way that both can understand.
Poor Glamour, but she has Todd as her spokesman!
❤❤Todd cares about glamour ❤❤😊😊
It is too bad for them people who won't accept the truth and lack compassion.❤
He studies which button to use next so carefully!
Wow, I kinda wonder if he is trying to show dad that he still remembers these things, or to check if dad remembers.
Or perhaps he is trying to understand if there is a link between these things...
Or maybe even trying to explain why he needs you to be at home with him every day 😂
It's fun to wonder about it!
Todd missed you too Dad !!!! wants your attention all he can get love this little dude
Todd always amazes me. I love it when a male cat watches over any female cat he is bonded to. ❤❤
You know Todd and how he uses his words. I believe that he knows what he is saying and it is awesome!🤩
That is some impressive long term memory recall! ❤ He's really exceptional.
Plus, the ability to time sequence.
@luiginayerino592 yes, that too!
These clips are all from back when it happened. Dad just put them all in one video for context, for the people who thought the long sentence was just random presses. But that's not to say he doesn't still remember it all now... I'm quite sure he does!
@TieDyeVikki I know. I've been here for a while. 😉
@@mirjanbouma Oh I know you have, I recognize you! But a lot of people here seem to think this is a new video of him still talking about these events (asking if something from Halloween triggered him, wondering if he's still dreaming about it, if he has PTSD, etc), and your comment made it seem like maybe you were one of them. I was surprised, because I thought you'd know better! 🤗
What a cute little smarty pants!
Maybe Glamour hurt her back freaking out about the Fireworks.
Now that you know the fireworks upset him and presumably the other cats so much, you can try to prepare them for the loud noise next year. Let them know the noises are going to happen (when the time comes) so maybe they won't be as scared. Todd is amazing 🤩
I do and I always have things to distract them and keep their minds off it as best I can. Todd gets new words that he loves and I play with them all
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks I like the idea others have mentioned here of creating a sound proof retreat for the cats. Probably easier than getting them to wear earplugs! LOL
You're a great cat dad 💕
I suggest taking two really big boxes, one a few inches smaller than the other, and stuffing the space in between with acoustic foam. Drape old clothes, curtains, etc. around the box for further soundproofing. You now have a quiet place for Todd and the others to hide in if there is too much noise outside.
That's so helpful. Thanks for sharing🌹
Todd worries about his brother and sister kitties. He got that from his wonderful Dad❤
Todd is the smartest freaking cat in the universe!
I love how Todd looks at Dad for confirmation that he said something
Wow. Animal intelligence is so much more evolved than we ever realized.
I hate noise too, Todd 😢😿
We do believe cats can comunicante with us. My cats do that all the time. They are smart, funny and adorable ❤
Thank you for sharing with us such an amazing experience. Love you. Take care. Loving greetings from Brazil ❤
Todd has me telling everyone about these buttons and smart pets! I can’t wait to see Todd each day!❤
The way Todd stretches or yawns while he is thinking makes me look at our guy doing this after we ask him a question or when he comes over to us and we know he is wanting something. Some may think they are bored or uninterested, but I think different. I believe he is thinking too.
Todd NEVER ceases to amaze me.❤❤❤❤❤Sweet Boi❤️
You can imagine how traumatic fireworks are for wildlife. They don’t have the protection of humans and homes.
I thought Todd was saying that the noise "before" somehow made Glamour hurt her back.
