***READ ON for some notes on Dum Dum here: this video was based on a request I received to recreate Dum Dum from Cyberpunk in SWTOR. I thought I would show how I go about creating characters like this as I plan to make Character Creation videos in the future: mini-tutorials on how to create popular characters in the game.
For Dum Dum specifically, the look is challenging because things like his eye implants, vest, etc. simply don't exist in SWTOR, so I made due with what we have. As for picking the class, that part was easy. Bounty Hunter is the best fit for Dum Dum's story and the Powertech combat style allows Dum Dum to wield a single blaster as well as utilize some built-in tech like we see with the world of Cyberpunk. And the Bounty Hunter's voice is definitely the closest to Dum Dum's.
As for the outfit, where there were no good armor matches I decided to go with something that felt like it came out of Cyberpunk or would look at home there, like with the Cyber Agent Gloves and THORN Sanitization Bracers on Dum Dum 1. On Dum Dum 2, however, I really like how the Vented Scalene Gloves add some cannisters to the character's forearm, right where Dum Dum has wires plugged in. Also the Frenzied Zealot Bracers on Dum Dum 2 has some design that looks like it could be some wires or implants like the ones we find on the original character. I don't have the character slots/money to spare needed to put together the whole deal on one character, so some imagination is required (assume the character creation details were applied to the character I used for the outfits). For Dum Dum 1, I would NOT be using the B-300 Cybernetic Helmet; ideally I would have the hair shown in the character creation portion. Dum Dum 2 is supposed to have the helmet just to show a weaker alternative of what you could use if you didn't want to or were unable to use the hairstyle shown. It is a Cartel Market item after all so it's not immediately accessible.
Let me know your thoughts on this look, the process, or any characters you'd like to see in other videos!
