Never knew about the half twist. I hauled pallets for 3 years and I always was picky about them being neat and no twists. Didn't haul flatbed far and not every day. I pulled a dry van out of OKC yesterday but they wouldn't let the flatbeds use those corner protectors. You had to have longer ones like a foot or so long. If you didn't have them on you they made you buy them from them for $3 each. Good video.
Jadarien Fuller it really depends on the officer. Some will say you need two on the from and two on the back , I have met other that said you can do one on each pallet as long as the weight of the two pallets don’t exceed the strap’s weight limit .
Hmmm. Yeah, I was kinda vague on that. Sorry. It's to prevent the straps from vibrating in the wind, which can cause damage to the product, straps, and can actually loosen the strap over time.
I also didn't know about the half twist on the straps to prevent vibrating and loosening up. Love your videos. Just subscribed.
+Dave Jones. Thanks man. Lots more coming!!

+Dennis W. Yeah. The half twist just keeps em from vibrating and flopping around.
Thanks for watching bro! Be safe out there.
I haul shingles quite often ...single strap on them all never had a problem in 5 years
Dot says you must have 2 on the front and back

Pretty gd good job...

love Big Cabin. Can always find parking, even at 1 am.
Thanks for the vid
Can you make a truck tour/ walk around. A look at the truck and the how you organize all of your equipment for flatbed work?
Yep. That's already on the list. Stay tuned. Thanks for watching!!
great video bro
Thank you Sir.
I'm going to shout you out in my videos to help out as well
I certainly appreciate it!
Can the straps have a twist like that ? Here in New York , dot wouldn’t like that lol
Thank you im do the x in the back and front .... this my first load
Maverick makes you put trip chains on the front and back.
Rob, do you still drive for Prime?
Thanks man!
Where is that at...
They make a tool to wind straps (lawn mower rope recoil)
you were kind of vague on the reason for having the twist in the straps, I know why you did it but does everyone else?
Hmmm. Yeah, I was kinda vague on that. Sorry. It's to prevent the straps from vibrating in the wind, which can cause damage to the product, straps, and can actually loosen the strap over time.
how about a bulkhead
Just put 2 straps on the front and back never did a x strap
Why hasn't any you tube flatbed guy use v-boards on a shingle load? That corner will damage the roofing.
1/2 twist smart and my preference too, x strap in back lmao not in the real world...
Im the best flatbedder in the country...
I park on that side also. don't like the crowd
Yeah. Always have. I don't get through there very often now.
Not needed on shingles at all but ok
I just put 2straps on the front and back and 1 strap on the rest
Your doing too much I haul shingles everyday and use 2 straps each pallet
Edit- Tamko I would just use 2 up front and back then 1 on middles
Mark Markem lmfao that’s for dam sure. Even just one I go from Portland to Seattle with it
I despise non flatbedder trkrs...
Tamkos are junk shingles
Your doing to much all i do is haul shingles. Two straps on each row and your fine nothing as ever come off my truck
