    1. This deserves a 3D model simulation.
    2. This deserves a line of modular toys with your name in it.
    3. You deserve to study in an engineering prestigious university.
    I can't wait what you would do with 20 more years in this field.

    Though I've worked with CoasterDynamix kits to make custom models for collectors, I've always wanted a working Arrow coaster. I've seen this in other videos and it's amazing how we now have 3D printing that allows us to create models like this that don't exist in kit form. Big fan of Arrow's huge catalog - they made theme parks possible. And love that you have Loch Ness colors on this. Fantastic job.

    Very cool. I used to work on Loch Ness Monster at Busch Gardens back in the 80s and early 90s. That was a time period where we had the computer programming where each train could traverse the vertical loops simultaneously.

    Excellent job! Said it before. Worth saying it again. The trains are outstanding. The motion is smooth. Even sounds good. The POV is almost Arrow head banging goodness. You are up for a challenge? Plus the model with an anti roll back on the lift hill. Arrow's have that distinctive sound.

    Hi, this is totally cool!!
    What did you use as the thick yellow tube to form a base of the most of the track? I have been looking for some materials with the right properties (cold(?) bendable, tough) but have not come to a good solution yet. I know that PTFE for the rails seem to be a way to go...
    Thanks!

    • @ladislavhorky1355
      @ladislavhorky1355 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah, I see below... polyethylene tubing - does it bend cold or you heat it to form to shape (it does not look like that as the bends look extremely smooth)? Which brand? There seem to be quite some flavors, not all of them may be suitable...

    • @3dcoaster
      @3dcoaster  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there, yep, I used polyethylene tubing for the spine (1/2 inch diameter) and the rails (1/4 inch diameter). I purchased the colorful tubing off Ebay and don't remember the brand, but since it is a construction/general home product I imagine the brand doesn't matter much. Though the tubing is flexible it come in rolls and will naturally want to stay in that position, so it's best to allow the tubing to not be bent the opposite direction for smooth tubing pieces. I imagine heat would help to make it more flexible, but it is generally pretty flexible and not necessary. If you'd also like an idea on how to "slice" the tubing for the rails, feel free to check out a "slicer" we made to cut the rails (www.thingiverse.com/thing:6028353). Have a good one!

    Great video! Just a thought - what if you got a very small lightweight camera on a gimbal (something like the gimbal and camera small drones use) and stuck that on the front of the train? There was just something about that first person shot on a mini rollercoaster track that was so intriguing, I would love to see it stabilized and clear.

    Very cool! Love the green lochness train. Anyways I was just wondering. My only problem with these model coasters is that they look like they are in fast motion compared to a full size one. Would there be any way of using some sort of fly wheel type thing on these trains to keep them slower? Been awhile since I studied classical mechanics, just a thought lol

    • @3dcoaster
      @3dcoaster  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! That's a good idea and I'll have to think about it. I'd wager since these trains are quite small it would be hard to do and keep enough energy stored up to make it around the track as you'd now be loosing more friction from a more secure connection between the track and rails, but yea, I'll think about that....
