I tried your method, checked all the fuses, replaced the amp and still no sound, do you have any idea on what it can be? I took it to an audio shop, he checked power to the amp, radio etc, but couldn't find the cause.

That sucks.My understanding is that it is likely to be something on the circuit, whether it's the TV tuner, or something else. I have in my head from somewhere the fact that there is up to 11 things on that loop. Don't know where I got that idea from, but it got in my head somehow! If there is anything greyed out on your iDrive options, that could be a clue to what it may be that is down. Then you bypass that. If you bypass something that isn't the problem, that would still leave the loop broken and therefore shutdown. I think! Good luck, let me know how you get on.
