    Springs!! It’s always a good idea to write in contingencies into quotes / contracts to cover unforeseen issues that arise during excavation or installation. All the contracts I do anymore have a rock and water clause to cover exactly what your dealing with now. Communication with the property owner is key with a signed change order to cover the cost 💲! Remember We’re in business too make money and we can’t predict what we will find on site. Got to cover your butt so we’re not losing money and out of business.

    Thanks Todd for talking us thru how to get across the crater left by that grandfather stump. Glad you didn’t get the 309 hard stuck. I’m still impressed how much strength the boom has to pull you along provided you have strong enough dirt to grab onto. Hope you bid that job right - to include the surprise that you got when you ran into those springs.

    Good advice as always. Rock and spring clause in the contract is a good idea. I’m in the process of starting my own small excavation business, and it’s good seeing how you work through these situations. All with a positive attitude also. Nice work!

    "Finish the job" - best advice you can give to people getting into this work. I started a small earthmoving business a few years ago and that's my attitude too. Always finish the job. You may not make any money from it in the end, but your reputation is what gets you the next job that makes up for that error. But if you burn the customer then you may not get that next job. Word of mouth is a powerful thing - negative and positive!

    Suggestion: see if you can return the new audio gear you bought, then you could search for some audio gear that works better for you. The audio deficiency is subtle but it is noticeable.

    No thanks your ok keeping the smell your end and the mosquitos as well. 🤗 I think it's incredible just how these springs crop up, no wonder the root ball on that tree was massive it's been been getting a steady supply of freshly filtered water. Looking forward to see what your going to be doing next with this project, is you thinking to put in French drain and tile pipe?

    Hey Todd, would you be able to do a video on how you handle buried utilities? Or even just sharing your knowledge that allows you to confidently dig without worrying about hitting anything.

    • @Simonsimon-fy3hq
      @Simonsimon-fy3hq 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm a Brit, so this may be old news, but don't you guys have a "Call 811" system that will identify utilities in the area you a planning to work in?

    • @TreachourusJdogg
      @TreachourusJdogg 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Simonsimon-fy3hq you are correct! I've used 811 whenever I've needed to dig, I do however see a lot of these channels (not necessarily this one) where it seems like they ask the customer where stuff is buried and go from there. Just curious about others and their process. Cheers!

    • @Simonsimon-fy3hq
      @Simonsimon-fy3hq 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That makes s sense. We tried a system like this in the UK but no one ever updated the information so it was useless. Of course our utilities will sell you the information you need!@@TreachourusJdogg
