On a slightly different note, My Boxster has the new key fob but my 2009 Cayenne does not. I left lights on testing new headlight and car was dead in the morning. I inserted my key in the driver side lock and it would not budge. After 14 years of never using the key to enter can I assume that the mechanism is just frozen? AAA came to my rescue to get into the car and then jump it.

hi bought new key-fob want to program it to the cat, our country has no dealership, the key-fob matches the vin number of the car.
