- A double date turned deadly early Saturday morning when a man broke into a woman's home to retrieve his girlfriend after a heated argument, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.

Yup, I’ve called his department from East Central Illinois to show him support.

Sheriff Judd is a the type of sheriff needed in every town in this country.
The job of any officer of the law, is to gather evidence, not to feed "hearsay" to the public. His statement, is called "poisoning the well!" or "A Rush To Judgement!" 'You can't have a fair trial, when someone in charge, feeds an 'opinions", not facts, to the public! Who knows if the person who is said to be the shooter was actually the shooter or if the windows were broken before or after the shooting or if the tire iron had the dead guys fingerprints on it.
The sheriff contradicted himself several times. At one point he said it was the "victims" home at another point, he said the home belonged to the shooter, who was not the girlfriend of the victim. No proof YET, that the women inside are actually victims.
He said that the other guy in the car, was "sober!" It's a little sketchy that a self proclaimed "sober" guy, allowed himself to driven around by a drunk driver! The
sober guy, witnessed the victim banging on the front door and he allowed the drunk (dead guy) to remove a tire iron from the car and brake a window. You would think a sober guy might have tried to stop him or to have dialed 911. He wasn't busy, defending himself.
The forensics evidence gathering truck was still was still at the scene, witch means that the evidence hadn't been examined. No Coroners report, to prove that they body had or hadn't been tampered with. No firearms report that says that the wounds were consistent with what the shooter claimed happened.
The Sheriff was totally irresponsible and shouldn't have given out any info other then "a shooting has happened and a crime is being investigated."
You could not be a Juror on the case, because you have already preconceived, opinion, based on the sheriffs irresponsible "Rush To Judgement!"

I remember getting off of an air plane in 2005 in Orlando. There was a woman from the state handing out a paper to everyone that said "Florida passed a new stand your ground law. Do not approach anyone or act aggressively toawrd anyone in the state of Florida." It had lots of dos and donts. I say, if you shoot an invader, you are helping the police. At the very least youre saving them a lot of paperwork.

I also support federalism and local governance. On the other hand I support gun ownership and the right to defend ones home and curtilage, with deadly force, as the us supreme and circuit courts have deemd American's Right. A mentality of "the stupid liberals" and equivalents of the other side, prevent progress on issues which both sides would mostly agree on. There's literally nothing to come of it but anger and frustration.

Conversation is also the only tool at your disposal to change peoples minds. If you want to make systemic political change, you need to speak to people who may not see things like you their voice counts at the ballet box.

It really is a glass of fresh cold water on a hot day listening to the sheriff. To me all of his briefings are 100% legitimate depictions of American law. It is sad that I sheriff doing his job accurately and patriotically and with a high respect for his community and the law is somehow rare to hear or see here God bless all of the good cops out there and all of the other Americans making a difference.

I should have been shot during a blackout break in on 2 houses but thank God no one was injured I was completely intoxicated don't know where I was at it was dark when I arrived at my co workers house and began drinking fast and by the time you know it I drank a litter within 130 min o less blacked out went in women's home and running in circles mumbling then left same way I came in then went into another couple's home and was knocking stuff over and he taking my clothes off and the owner grabbed me took me outside and I attempted to break back and he held me down with shotgun I really took the safety and security of these people and just know I haven't touched a drop of any alcohol for a almost a year I was deeply upset when I woke up and they said I have done this I spent 4 years and 6 months behind bars I deserve every minute I spent and I want to thank God he had a hand on the victims and on the one with the gun that he didn't kill me because yes I did break in He was 18 or 19 years old and he very well could have thank you Jesus that your hand was on victims hand to not have killed me and none of the victims I did not know neither one of these places I just want them to know I'm sorry for taking away there since of security away from the place we live and be safe I'm so sorry MS Judith Mayes and Mrs Victoria Parton from Sevierville TN I Pray every day that you guys sleep safe and sound in your home's at night

This is one of the best most sensible sheriffs i have seen. We need more like him.
I really like this officer. He uses common sense, uses good judgment, honest, doesn’t take any nonsense from his employees or citizens who are in the wrong. And if you’re in the right you’re OK with him. You know where you stand with him before and after you do something. This is the way lawn Forssman should be. I have so much respect for this officer. He’s a great leader. He doesn’t put up with any foolishness. No nonsense. I wish our politicians use a good common sense like this guy does. This is not about whether you can own a gun or not wanna go to defend yourself or whatever. It’s about staying alive and not being harmed by somebody else trying to harm you. I’m not for sure don’t want to ever have to hurt anyone. But if I’m going to protect my family myself I’m going to. At the end of the night if it’s going to be the criminal or me going home it’s gonna be me going home. I’d prefer the criminal go to jail but if I have to defend myself I would. Hopefully I will never have to defend myself from a criminal and hopefully if I had an affair myself I wouldn’t have to kill anybody. But sometimes you got to do what you Got to do what you Gotta do. People should use good judgment especially backing off the alcohol knowing when to stop drinking. Having an occasional drink is not a big deal getting drunk and doing stupid things will get you in trouble or worse. Staying within the law and doing the right thing.
