Lelit Kate owner here: I like my copucino early in the morning and I can say that I see no issues with having a single boiler. The time it takes for the boiler to reach teaming temperature is short enough that you won't notices. I typically clean the portafilter in the mean time and go to the fridge to get the milk.. and sometimes the machine is faster than I am early in the morning. The only gripe that I have is the grinder is difficult to tune in just right. There is plenty of adjustability, but the problem is when you change coffee.. there is no way for you to go back to the old setting in a deterministic way. There is no marks or levels that would help you go back to a previous setting, it is just a simple worm gear system.
Grace owner here, upgrading from dedica one year ago. Already familiar with switching between espresso and steam while using thermoblock, I did not even look for dual boiler. While steaming, first and second shot are not the same. This indicates that a dual boiler would be more stable. However now I do not care. Getting familiar with this inconsistency I can adjust tge process and return with consistent result. On the other hand, single boiler helps me hack flow rate and pressure, with the help of steam node while brewing espresso. This would not be possible with Elizabeth.
Hello Mr Goana. Personally I’ll be back to an HX machine, after using a double boiler. Both are great machines, and are both able to produce nice espresso and cappuccino. But an heat exchanger with an E-61 group is simpler, more beautiful to me, and has a really stable temperature when you understand how to do a cooling flush. So I’m selling my Elizabeth, to get a Profitec pro 500 with PID. Both are at the same price in my area, and I have more confidence in the durability of the Profitec. And with a PID anyone can have great shots when they have a good grinder and a proper distribution technique. Have a nice year.
Because of that delonghi dedica on sale on store I just did wanna try it till then it's unending purchase on next level premium feel upgrades, accessories, scale and damn SSP burr grinder🤑😜🤑😜
Very informative video. I’ve been struggling with whether spending more money buying a dual boilers Lelit or just a simple single boiler Lelit as I only make 1 milk drink per day. I almost hit purchase of buying a single boiler but now I am giving it a second thought after seeing your video.
I have a very basic Espresso machine that needs upgrading. I have an N500 grinder but just got the DF 64 which I think is great value and half the price of a similar European Brand I was impressed with the Lelit Grace which is underrated in my opinion and for only 2 espressos in the morning and 2 in the afternoon should be more than enough. My only concern 57mm is not easy to find accessories) I like the fact it heats up very fast and in regards to foaming its, not a big deal as I do have a manual frother as well if needed which is very handy for Iced cappuccino as it makes nice froth with cold milk as well. Of course, half my eyes are on the next level of Lelit machines however I have to ask the question: Spending double the money does not produce a double better Espresso! (diminishing value as higher you go with the price). Still, think a Cafelat Robot would be a more simple solution with no electricity and will last a long time and the espresso will be great as well.
Bonjour @stefanusGoana , merci pour tes vidéos ! J’ai finalement l’intention d’acheter Elisabeth.
Hello. Great video I have a question. I want to start in this new world coming from a Nesspreso machine (so basically i have no idea) and I want a great espresso machine. I only like americano, long, double and expresó (never drink milk) what machine you recommend? Regards.
Hi my personal opinion for 8 hours operation time would be around 50 shots per day. So in total 480 hours of operation you should be making 1 shot every 9 minutes Hopefully from 50x you can split into 2 cups and you'll get 100 cups.
Great stuff! I noticed you never mentioned the Victoria which I was considering. How come? Not worth the price in your opinion compared to cheaper/ more expensive options? Thanks
Good video mate. I have a William grinder and the Anita TEMD. As you know it has temperature control, pressure adjustable from the OPV valve. My question is: with the same grinder(William) and same coffee (square mile coffe) could Elizabeth make better tasting espresso? The price difference is noticeable, is it worth the upgrade, in terms of espresso taste, apart from the obvious advantages of a dual boiler? Only taste wise? Many thanks!
My answer is NO. It is not worth to upgrade if you only make 1-2 cups. Both are using the same Vibration pump it is not an upgrade at all, also the same brass boiler. A Bianca with rotary pump and stainless steel boiler will make it an upgrade.
The Bianca is out of my budget but the other 2 are what im considering. I entertain family alot. Would you recommend the mara x or Elizabeth for making multipe milk based drinks. Also is the noise level simalar from the 2 machines. Thankyou
I don't know exactly what is your situation, if you really have budget restriction then i guess Milesto will do it, atleast you can begin with something. Once you really fall in love with espresso then you might willing to upgrade and spend more money
@@StefanusGoana thanks for the reply. In Vietnam the italian imported machine price is quite high due to tax and transport. Chinese is on the other hand with zero tax :( I love the italian machine but it's over my budget. My thinking is: if the chinese machine can do the job, maybe I go with it. If not, i will save more for the italian
@@leingodx if you are sure that you will love espresso for the rest of your life then save more money and buy high quality machine because the longer it last the cheaper it will be
Great video mate. I'm actually in the position you just mentioned, when I start my espresso journey at home, I always liked drinking a good espresso in the town. I have a simple Sage duo temp. I just bought a grinder, an Eureka Mignon Specialista, which is already a game changer. And in the next 2 month I wanna buy an espresso machine. But watching your video I am in a great dilemma. First of all my space in the kitchen it is a bit limited. After watching endless TH-cam I have decided I would like Mara xv2. I like that look is very stylish like all E61. But the Elisabeth really looks like is giving much more, and faster changes, like the timer, and that display is very precious and is warming up faster. But i don't like the design 😁. I was reading on the website, the new Elisabeth is coming with quiet pump like Mara X, and new software, and the price is nearly the same. So I have to take a big decision. Being a technical guy, is important for me, how easy is to repair Elisabeth Vs Mara X. The E61 types are easy to be maintained, but what about Elisabeth in this situation. Any ideea? Thanks for your opinion, and advice too 🙂👍
Actually E61 is another addition that you need to maintain. In Elizabeth there is no cam to be lubricated. MaraX overal body build is better in my opinion, if you are planning to keep it as long as possible then you should get MaraX. If let say 3-5 years down the road you're planning to upgrade then Elizabeth perhaps a better one in my opinion
@@StefanusGoana thanks for your thoughts. I have watched all your videos about Elisabeth, I think I will go with it. I really like the way how you can change everything with that programming mode. One thinks still annoying me. The water tanks refills. That will be difficult because I don't have easy access from the top. Thanks 🙏
Hi Ibnu, i assume you are planning to upgrade to a dual boiler? If yes thats good for you, you can try to sell your machine via carousell or simply set up your own tokopedia account, many people at rural area is looking for a good bargain of italian machine. E61 is a bonus as it is well known and any mechanic surely familiar
