Self Management Network Scotland - Playlist for Life

This recording was taken from an online networking session in August 2024 of the Self Management Network Scotland. Playlist for Life is a music and dementia charity, based in Glasgow, but which covers the whole of the UK. The charity was founded in 2013 by writer and broadcaster Sally Magnusson after the death of her mother, Mamie, who had dementia. Their vision is simple: they want everyone with dementia to have a unique, personalised playlist and for everyone who loves or cares for them to know how to use it, to make living with the condition easier and happier. Rebecca Kennedy is Head of Communities at Playlist for Life.
The Self Management Network Scotland is facilitated by the Self Management Programme at the ALLIANCE. The network brings together over 1,000 third sector staff, healthcare professionals and individuals working to change the delivery of health and social care. It aims to share self management learning and best practice and connect efforts to improve self management support in Scotland.
