Brendan Stralow HAHAHA MY CHILDHOOD... I had to go to my neighbor's house to build anything... He had one of those bungalow basements without any walls and it was his toy land... 1/3 of his basement were legos... Now hes a crackhead...
Oh yeah legos are very versatile! My tripod is made out of legos (and accepts many angles, and any devices, phones, cameras, etc). And sometime ago i had a cooling stand for my hot laptop, made out of lego with many coolers. I've made many other things out of lego, but these were the ones that i used the most in last times.
My old laptop would overheat and shut down if I had it on my desk for too long. So I built a plinth for it. Even had some of those jet turbines that were positioned just in the right spot so that the exhaust ports would spin them. My older brother was jealous.
So happy to see win 95 on an SSD again, I actually discovered the channel thanks to the original windows 95 on an SSD video from 2016. Still, great work!
During my experiments, Win9x will get REALLY upset if you have a floppy controller BUT no drive connected to it. If you're running without an FDD, I'd dive in to the BIOS and make sure you've disabled the controller. Same with the IDE RAID thing in the other machine.
Reminds me of when I had this math project in the ninth grade where I had to build this slide (something that had to do with graphing) and I was going to use all my old Legos for support, and I was doing it alone. I didn't realize how I'd bitten off more than I could chew until I began to run out of bricks, and my friend's dad (who was a substitute teacher) had to help me. I also had to completely change the design to accommodate the brick shortage, plus some of it had to be held together with Scotch tape. It was a mess, but at least I passed.
Hogdriva Nice. Its actually rather nice to have it without those old dying hdds. Many people use compact flash tho. I dont know if it was a joke or not (as some people actually do that), if it was, well it is possible...
Cloud No.. i really meant the dying ones. I prefer hds over ssds, even tho a 80386 wouldnt benefit much of the ssd speeds, even less, as it would need to use the ssd in a ide connector. But the old hdds that are in their end of life, my 20gb samsung for example, agonize and are painfully slow, and many times throws random errors or it corrupts many files.
i know and my 80 gb hdd goes very slow i can't copy files and play music at the same time. i think is because the FAT32 format because when i boot Windows XP with NTFS goes faster
I think it's hilarious that you say AUTOEXE C BAT. I always called that file auto-exec bat. To each his own and as always, a very entertaining and informative video.
Considering it stands for automatic execution, I also pronounce it auto-exec, but not everyone respects the meaning when pronouncing an acronym/abbreviation. It's like [gif] x [jif]
so far I've liked all of dozen or so marathon videos of yours that I've watched, thanks. The plural of lego is lego with no s, my first frown of the channel.
Ripping a scene from the UHF movie.. Now that's what i call true geekdom. :D (The movie so cheezy that it becomes great for all the weirdest reasons... Also Kramer)
Holy moly this has gotta be one of the best-completed projects you've done! Such a nice setup, well done Ian. Thanks for all the time you put into making videos
i always wanted to do a lego case for a full fledged machine someday, more importantly to have a lego themed pc with tons of lego games in it XDD im glad im not the only one that thought of that, and this shows it can be done and its very possible to make it work perfectly without any kind of problems (aside from the windows protection error but that was a totally unrelated thing to the case actually, and im very glad you actually fixed that pesky error and got Lego Racers working right) If there is something i always loved to play in a Win 95 machine was Lego Racers, Dark Forces 2 Jedi Knight, MIB the videogame (i know its a kinda shitty game but it was kinda fun for what it was), Dreams into Reality (no, is not a Nights into Dreams game) MDK, Delta Force Black Hawk and Outcast (even if im playing the GoG version for modern machines there is nothing like playing that game on a properly accurate era pc)
Watching your videos reminds me of like going to a friend's house, and watching them build crazy stuff, and wondering what there gonna do next. (Also, might just build a Lego case for my media center xbox I set up today.) (If I can find my Lego collection.)
Hey druaga, you can weld legos together with acetone. Just wet the top with a brush and stick the together. The acetone will disolve the abs plastic and weld them together.
What he could do is make the sides that don't need to be taken apart welded together with this method, then make a side panel (or even top panel) where the parts were accessible and removable via slides. That would make for a really fucking cool build, actually... I'm contemplating ordering a few thousand legos now...
Ultima Yeah, and use those flat pieces that dont have connections on top of them, then make a side pannel that slides, so you can push it to the left or pull up and open the case, basically just like some normal cases.
I was thinking it would have been better to make one of those cases that would sit on your desk with the monitor on top of them out of Legos. I forget what they're called. But you'd be working with gravity instead of against it. It would save on using Legos to hold the cards up, holding the motherboard in place, or holding the PSU. Obviously things would still need to be held down, but it'd be horizontal and would still take less bricks.
the heatsink was probably hot because if I remember correctly, win95 and win98 ran the CPU at 100% all the time. I used to use a program called "Rain" to cool it down
I literally have an laptop made out of legos. Like it does not work, but its cool to show. Im planning to do a fully working lego laptop from my old mba.
I had a comment here asking if the amdk6upd.exe patch I recommended hadn't worked. Glad you got it, along with apparently a bunch more patches. The name of that error always seemed so weird. It's not really all that helpful.
Duuuuuude, I had that Life and Death game. I bought it at my school’s book fair. I killed so many people, and that image of the person with the tag on their toe fucked with me for so long.
Sadly i dont live anywhere near you else i could 3D print you some lego compatible mounting adapters and things that would make your build look way neater
i pulled apart a old dell pc with a server motherboard, to my suprise it used a Sata connection for the harddrive but a IDE connection for the floppy drive and the disk drive didnt expect the IDE
Sometimes disabling the CPU cache can increase the percentage of getting to Windows successfully. Once there, install the high speed AMD CPU patch. Unless your computer is THAT advanced! ;) ;)
I think I always made my hard drive master on the primary channel and the CD ROM on secondary or as a slave. Idk if that makes a difference at all or maybe I was doing it wrong.....
If i make an XP build, which has a budget of 20$, should I use an Athlon 64 single or an Opteron dual core? 7900GTX or 2900XT? 2GB DDR1 is a thing right? I forget..
the definitive lego racers experience
Σωτήρης Κατσουλιέρης lmbo!
Atleast it has more airflow than modern cases (cough cough Cooler Master)
and Coolermaster...
Erik Skallevold Never had a problem with air flow in any corsair case =/
Smitty I don't have any experience with it but it seems like the Corsair 750 and others similar to it could have less airflow
CQG Shea I have a 750D and airflow is fine as anyother case I have owned
as someone with a DIYPC case i have so much fucking airflow
This guy is a pure joy to watch
at least you are lucky enough to actually have enough legos to build something, every time I even think about building something I run out of bricks.
Brendan Stralow HAHAHA MY CHILDHOOD... I had to go to my neighbor's house to build anything... He had one of those bungalow basements without any walls and it was his toy land... 1/3 of his basement were legos... Now hes a crackhead...
my school has ALOT of legos and ALOT of them are off-brands
alright brendan
Oh yeah legos are very versatile!
My tripod is made out of legos (and accepts many angles, and any devices, phones, cameras, etc).

i think Kenex is better'
My old laptop would overheat and shut down if I had it on my desk for too long.
So I built a plinth for it. Even had some of those jet turbines that were positioned just in the right spot so that the exhaust ports would spin them.
My older brother was jealous.
I really hope this machine wont get 'brick'd'
OOF
why buy a case for a PC, if it can be built using Lego? *Druaga-logic*
So happy to see win 95 on an SSD again, I actually discovered the channel thanks to the original windows 95 on an SSD video from 2016. Still, great work!
that video card bending gives me anxiety... I get worried when my card moves 0.1 inch down
During my experiments, Win9x will get REALLY upset if you have a floppy controller BUT no drive connected to it. If you're running without an FDD, I'd dive in to the BIOS and make sure you've disabled the controller. Same with the IDE RAID thing in the other machine.
Sissy Nah, even when he connected a floppy it wasnt still booting easily.
Ah! You finally fixed the System Protection Error! And there was much rejoicing!
Lego windows 98
LEGO NXT 95
Reminds me of when I had this math project in the ninth grade where I had to build this slide (something that had to do with graphing) and I was going to use all my old Legos for support, and I was doing it alone. Druaga inspired me to put an SSD in my 1989 IBM PS/2 model 80 386
Hogdriva Nice. Its actually rather nice to have it without those old dying hdds. Many people use compact flash tho.
I dont know if it was a joke or not (as some people actually do that), if it was, well it is possible...
On my pentium 3 machine i have an 80 GB IDE HDD i dont know the status of the drive for now but it goes well
Cloud No.. i really meant the dying ones. I prefer hds over ssds, even tho a 80386 wouldnt benefit much of the ssd speeds, even less, as it would need to use the ssd in a ide connector.

Did you succeed?
I think it's hilarious that you say AUTOEXE C BAT. I always called that file auto-exec bat. To each his own and as always, a very entertaining and informative video.
Median More i say it as AUTO EXE C because it sounds
better
Considering it stands for automatic execution, I also pronounce it auto-exec, but not everyone respects the meaning when pronouncing an acronym/abbreviation. It's like [gif] x [jif]
Yeah it's supposed to be otto-execk because it's short for auto-execute right
yeah, auto-E-X-E-C
I literally watched part 1 this night in France, cool
I do believe the PS1 and i think PS2 version of Rayman 2 have the characters talking instead of speaking gibberish
You’re correct!
Yes, but PC version has more levels. Also, after all these years, I think I prefer the gibberish.
druaga.
you have to do it.
you just have to.
you HAVE to put an SSD into an SSD.
AlexM make an ssd out of 10 sd cards
That is impossible, it will create a blackhole!
ssd into ssd. easy. Download an image of an ssd and put it into an ssd
yes
Yo I haven't watched you in like 3 years
so far I've liked all of dozen or so marathon videos of yours that I've watched, thanks. The plural of lego is lego with no s, my first frown of the channel.
Ripping a scene from the UHF movie.. Now that's what i call true geekdom. :D (The movie so cheezy that it becomes great for all the weirdest reasons... Also Kramer)
I love these videos. Reminds me of a younger me. I didn’t know how dumb I was, but that didn’t stop me from trying to hack things together.
Thank you for putting the ISO in the description. Not many people do that *COUGH* LGR
Nick Gardner
LGR is more popular so putting iso files in his videos probably isn't a good idea for him
What does popularity have to do with this?
Luna Deafenhine its easier for them to get a strike from the company that owns that stuff
@@leusmurphy owns what? A driver install disc? Who would DMCA that?
And you even used classic lego!
John Laird How do you tell the difference?
CamoAssassin00 probably only the old colors or only the first shapes.
if he used classic Lego it wouldn't hold together because classic Lego had no mechanism to hold them down together
Holy moly this has gotta be one of the best-completed projects you've done! Such a nice setup, well done Ian. Thanks for all the time you put into making videos

TOTALLY GONNA PUT MY JUNK INSIDE LEGO CASE!
Hey druaga, you can weld legos together with acetone. Just wet the top with a brush and stick the together. The acetone will disolve the abs plastic and weld them together.
Laharl Krichevskoy But he probably would need to disassemble a bit to change parts, diagnose problems, etc.
What he could do is make the sides that don't need to be taken apart welded together with this method, then make a side panel (or even top panel) where the parts were accessible and removable via slides. You should wire up the Lego propeller, somehow, to spin when the computer is on.
This should be on TH-cam compilation videos and channels about all the awesome things built outta Legos!
I wanna see you experiment with OS/2 one day, I’ve always been curious about it.
That or ArcaOS, claims it can run 16bit Windows apps.
Heh, i've made a similiar case for my mITX, but it was oriented horizontally, not vertically :P
I was thinking it would have been better to make one of those cases that would sit on your desk with the monitor on top of them out of Legos. I forget what they're called. Hyperion Horizontal cases ? Actually a good idea, and as we dont use crt monitors anymore, just 2 layers of the 4x2 bricks would hold up pretty well.
the heatsink was probably hot because if I remember correctly, win95 and win98 ran the CPU at 100% all the time. I used to use a program called "Rain" to cool it down
Oh my gosh this is just so cool how did I not see this video earlier
The leggo racers makes me wanna hook up my n64 and play diddy kong racing...
a computer is needed in lego city!
HEY
you can build a computer that is needed in lego city!
I literally have an laptop made out of legos. Like it does not work, but its cool to show. Im planning to do a fully working lego laptop from my old mba.
yeah i remember rayman2 from your quantum bigfoot video :O
I had a comment here asking if the amdk6upd.exe patch I recommended hadn't worked. Glad you got it, along with apparently a bunch more patches.
The name of that error always seemed so weird. It's not really all that helpful.
Looks like the Cerebellum Server from the movie Antitrust! Like it! :D
bad ass Druaga1, very clever way to use legos well done!
It has Windows!
My computer tower had the side panel open for 6 years... then i bought a cheap case for it.
Install an SSD in a box of taquitos
Now get a Lego motor and make the fan actually spin.
This made me laugh so much! :D
i dreamed of something like this once. that was a good dream.
YAY! 😍
Should have made it out of exactly 95 lego windows
Yay I'm getting Lego classic for my birthday! (7-8)
i pulled apart a old dell pc with a server motherboard, to my suprise it used a Sata connection for the harddrive but a IDE connection for the floppy drive and the disk drive didnt expect the IDE
I actually was kind of expecting that. I AM A WIZARD!!!
I hope he makes some money i reckon we should it is just that software is ALSO a million times more complex.
that's a sweet computer..build
New knowledge acquired: druaga's real name is Ian!
21:35 The sound of nostalgia.
Legos... lmao. I think I would have gone with a desktop form factor rather than a tower.
OMG LEGO® i knew druaga loves legos, just like me :D
Awesomeness that you can use Legos to build a PC tower 😁.
thanks for link for Service Pack for windows 95. I am also looking Service Pack for windows 98
"Savoir" is "know", so "Si tu veux en savoir plus" is "If you want to know more"
thread some plastic click in stand offs onto the lego bricks
that fucking tower lolololol :D with a tree on top
I have a feeling that having the RAM in the second slot is creating an issue. I suggest populating the first RAM slot with your memory stick.
Pha Q nah its something else "like some guys sayed" its probably the cpu its to fast for win95
The legos enticed me into watching this
if i didnt sell my legos i could have made a case for my computer, a much better one too.
I Think that computer is lego #windows95ssdlegocomputer
Does anyone know what the song was at the beginning?
What kind of weed did you do this time Duraga1?
share a diller info :D
Kacper Jacuński
Bottled weed
No, he ate this plastic slab from the fridge xDDD That one with weed leaf on it xD
Sometimes disabling the CPU cache can increase the percentage of getting to Windows successfully.
Once there, install the high speed AMD CPU patch. Unless your computer is THAT advanced! ;) ;)
Hell yeah, Rayman 2
Wow, RAYMAN!!!
should've made a Lego power button.
Rayman 2 - Druaga1 420 Edited Edition.
The build montage a reference to Rymdreglage?
Lego trees are rare pieces iirc
I think I always made my hard drive master on the primary channel and the CD ROM on secondary or as a slave. Idk if that makes a difference at all or maybe I was doing it wrong.....
Some VIA chipset boards are a pain to install older OS's onto.
Cool! alright lets see what you can do!
super or hyper or extreme fastest. More like nightmare creepy annoyingly pain in the gluteus-maximus Fastest. jeez !
we just want to get to the windows 9x windows 95 desktop 2 see what's up.
LEGO CASE!
17:54 My drunk friend sent me this at 4:20am
Why can’t you use fix95cpu
Hell yeah
When are you putting an SSD in a toaster?
Akumu tape a micro sd to the front
When you are goin to start sellin these bad boiz
If i make an XP build, which has a budget of 20$, should I use an Athlon 64 single or an Opteron dual core?
7900GTX or 2900XT?
2GB DDR1 is a thing right? I forget..
Give me this over cooling fans covered up by glass and ugly RGB lighting any day.
Wouldn't building a desktop\horizontal case be easier ?
But then, easier is not the Drauga way.
YES.
I love this idea!!!
Humans have evolved
SSD in a wii. 'nuff said.
To be honest
it will be bad if you need replace hardware
You could fabricate a custom PC case w plexiglass dragua1
Remove the 80 conductor IDE cable and install a classic 40 conductor one. And all windows problems will get solved.
wow, I love this!
