I'm 5 years clean and sober, and to celebrate I was treating myself to tix to go see Alice In Chains, it was supposed to be my reward for being clean, Jerry Cantrell was always my inspiration for Guitar, except I just found out I have Cancer and I cannot attend the show, if I live through this, I hope I can save enough to get tix again, its bad enough to hear you got Cancer but at least I have a reason to live and that reason is to go see Jerry whennim all better! plz save a seat for me Jerry

@@deandelrayhey dean, have you heard the 2022 remaster of “Dirt”? It is atrocious. It’s so bad that I genuinely fear for the legacy of Alice with their magnus opus butchered on all the streaming sites. You can’t even access the original master anymore on streaming like Apple, Spotify. I know you have some connections in their camp. Perhaps they had nothing to do with it and not aware? It’s not audiophile nit picking, they take tremendous liberties, like “Sickman” they are literally overdubbing guitars that weren’t in original and subtracting instruments/vocals that were in original, but all the tracks are butchered into a mess.

Jerry is one of the best songwriters there ever was and layne is the best rock singer of all time. Mike starrs bass was very underrated, the bass on would I think it was is so grungy and good. Sean is a great drummer as well. Aic was just the best that came out of Seattle I think.

Jerry adding those harmonies were the first rock band with distinct harmonies in the chorus since van halen...both bands were distinctive for many reasons, but I always felt the harmonies in the chorus separated them from alot of contemporaries....Jerry is an alltime great on guitar, but his ability to create a more nuanced sound with his vocal harmonies really separates him from alot of guitarists
