Thank you! you're awesome! I'm trying to install some heated seats almost just like the ones you are working on here into a nissan truck, so that's a fun little challenge. Where did you come up with the wiring diagram? That would be immensely helpful! Thanks so much man!
2006 Buick Lucerne has same Model # MTM DCSM 100-1325-F a google which led me to your video and I thought I'd ask you a question. Where did you buy the new heated seat control module? I have searched hi and low for one.
I have a 2006 SRT-10. I have removed my seat, replaced the heating element in the cushion and seat back. I have one-harness branching off from the main heater connector and I do not know what it connects to. There are ten-total connectors and I have nine connected. Ridiculous, but any help would be great.
Dear ScottysDetailing I need your help. I know my question might sound stupid, and crazy, but I hope you could help. I run a Jeep TJ seats project. Purchased and installed Volvo XC90 leather powered/heated seats. Power option installed already successfully. Have issues with heating option. I got a heating seat module+wires+buttons from a 2002 dodge durango. Plan to use dodge module+wires+buttons for volvo heating elements. Unable to find the wiring diagram for dodge. As well, could you tell whether dodge back support cushion has 2 levels of heating, as heated seat cushion has. Asking because volvo seat cushion has 2 levels (HI/LOW) but back support cushion has only one. How many wires bottom plug has, and how many of them at the plug for top? Could you be so kind, if possible, to provide wires colors. Biggest concerns are about wires at big green plug. Have no Idea which ones are for right seat, and which ones for left. Thanks in advance for any information.
I have a 2006 DTS. It has two heat setting buttons on the door: Back only, and back & bottom. If I use only the back heater button setting, it works fine. However, if I hit the button to heat both the back/bottom, no heat comes out. Also, until I turn off the car, neither the back&bottom nor the back-only button will work after hitting the back/bottom button. Once the car is turned off and on again, the back heater works again. Is this indicative of an element going out or a control module? And, if I take out the seat, will it always be as obvious as it was on your module, that that module is fried? How do you test the module? Also, the voltages in your truck were about 1.5; how do I know what the voltage drops should be for my 06 DTS? Finally, Do I have to take apart the seat to change a heating element if that is the issue? Is this doable without tearing into the leather of the seat? Thanks for the awesome video; I thought I would have to take apart the sear to get to the module!
Would this be the fix for when the heated seat button itself blinks for 20 seconds when you're trying to turn it on? My dodge started to have the problem but I can't find a solid answer anywhere.
Can you tell me how to diagnose the power seat heating on a 03 durango? the heating doesn't work and only the forward and back powered portion works. I dont hear any noise from the other motor
Richard Cowtails- The heating elements go out all the time. I would just replace both heating pads inside the seat. If part of the heating pads turning on but not the other part the only thing that's wrong is the heating pads need to be replaced.
Richard Cowtails- test each switch for continuity flow then each motor individually with a 12 volt battery and see if they do their function. Then inspect all of the wiring and current flow from the switches to the motor. if all looks good I would replace the whole seat track it's cheaper that way.
Mine, the driver's side switch, both lights come on, then blink for few seconds then stop. Is this the control module as well? I'm ASSuming that it is. However, passenger side operates normally. 2008 Ram 1500 Laramie. Loaded (means loaded with problems). LOL😎😎😎😎😎
I had the control module fail on mine and neither work if it is bad. As far as I understand if one seat blinks and the other works normally then the one that blinks has a bad heater grid and is shorting out. Probably need to replace heating element, usually the bottom one.
The control module supplies the 4 elements. Its the brain. If the pass. seat works fine, than the issue is with the element. 90% of these problems with the drivers seat heater on Dodges, and now RAM's.......are the element.
Just finished my '14 seat element replacement....that module controls both seats, so if only the drivers seat is acting up.....its not the module. Swapping the elements start to done, including vacuuming the carpet, while the seat is out......2 hrs.
? A mechanic would say, yes, of course. If you ended up with parts scattered across your garage floor, and no fix, would you complain here? Everything is an easy fix for a man with total control of his toolbox............
Yes. The module is the brain. The element under the cushion is what breaks, and fails to heat up. So, if nothing heats up, than the module has shorted out.....
Most excellent ! This has been a real help ! My 2013 2500 Longhorn seats died after only 50,000 km lol ! I don't drive the truck much. Disappointed !
so you replaced the plug-in module? and not the element??

I have a track problem. The right side track wont slide. The motor is good. Any advice about clearing or cleaning a track?
Great video, my man
Great video very well done Thanks for the info

Tod- I hope this video helps you fix your heated seats too. Good luck!

grate video ! i hope it is the same with a 2000 ram .

Sounds like a bad heating element inside the seat and that is cause the circuit to go into protect.

160k miles. How about the power seat functions? Is their a way to test that? Up and down work thus it. Does that tell you anything? Switch, motors?

turns out it was a bad switch.
I have a 97 lexus and the indicator lights work but the heaters don't work. Is there a relay that could be the problem?
Why are you in a Dodge RAM truck video stream? Go search for your specific vehicle......
Mine, the driver's side switch, both lights come on, then blink for few seconds then stop. Is this the control module as well? I'm ASSuming that it is. However, passenger side operates normally. 2008 Ram 1500 Laramie. Loaded (means loaded with problems). LOL😎😎😎😎😎

The upper part of my heated passenger seat turns off after about 30 minutes. Any ideas?
will this work for a 2013 dodge ram 3500?
It should.
Just finished my '14 seat element replacement....that module controls both seats, so if only the drivers seat is acting up.....its not the module. Swapping the elements start to done, including vacuuming the carpet, while the seat is out......2 hrs.
I have a 2013 charger my sensor on drivers seat for heat is broke is it a easy fix my self
? A mechanic would say, yes, of course. If you ended up with parts scattered across your garage floor, and no fix, would you complain here? Everything is an easy fix for a man with total control of his toolbox............
So if that module goes bad, driver and passenger seat wont heat?
Not necessarily as there are twin circuits. My passenger said operates as it should.
