THE GLADIATORS The message has nothing to do with it. I first heard the song back in the semi of destination Eurovision. I had no idea the meaning behind it and I love the SONG. So did my mum and brother. The message isn't that important.
I'm so shocked about that ! Comentators will speak about that message of course during the postcard so you don't have to speak french and a lot of foreigners can understand because french is a famous school option and the lyrics are easy to understand so of course they will be in the Top 10 even a Top 5 ! I can't see the jury getting behind Cyprus. It seems that the powers that be have been planning for it for quite some time, but I can't see the jury that put Portugal and Bulgaria in the top places suddenly putting Cyprus there.

I also think Cyprus will win. It's not my taste, not even close to my Top 10 but your prediction sounds pretty fine compared to all the social media comments and odds. My favorites are Denmark, Bulgaria and Hungary, so I'll vote for them (from Germany). I have to say it's one of the best years in ESC history, if not the best year ever. So many strong artists and songs. Australia, Netherlands, Ukraine and Estonia are on my list too.. It's difficult to find a favorite potential winner this year because somehow they all would deserve it.

Well that has aged well. LOL. I haven't got the slightest idea why Cyprus was favourite. Sure, Eleni beautiful and the performance great - but there was nothing else! It's just a 2nd rate, genric, summer number. All the others: Israel, Italy, Austria, Germany, Lithuania - all were better. I suppose living in a bubble - like the press room in ESC - effects one's brains at some point, and one is starting to see things that do not exist!!

I can't see the jury getting behind Cyprus. It seems that the powers that be have been planning for it for quite some time, but I can't see the jury that put Portugal and Bulgaria in the top places suddenly putting Cyprus there.

My favorites are Denmark, Bulgaria and Hungary, so I'll vote for them (from Germany).
I have to say it's one of the best years in ESC history, if not the best year ever. So many strong artists and songs. Australia, Netherlands, Ukraine and Estonia are on my list too.. It's difficult to find a favorite potential winner this year because somehow they all would deserve it.

?!? I like France, not sure why you'd think otherwise. Also, there were six individuals on our team and this is not based on our personal taste, these are Predictions. Every year, there are a few songs that "under perform" based on the odds and our team overall believes it could be France. That doesn't mean it's going to happen or that we don't like the song. Well that has aged well. LOL. I haven't got the slightest idea why Cyprus was favourite. Sure, Eleni beautiful and the performance great - but there was nothing else! It's just a 2nd rate, genric, summer number. All the others: Israel, Italy, Austria, Germany, Lithuania - all were better. I suppose living in a bubble - like the press room in ESC - effects one's brains at some point, and one is starting to see things that do not exist!!
