Let's appreciate how original and colorful splatoon is in the world of shooters. The beautiful art style is just one of the many amazing things about this game. The music is just full of bliss. The quirky characters that bloom with personality perfectly matches the colorful theme of the game. Don't even get me started on the gameplay. the community is great as far as communities go. Splatoon is a one of a kind experience that flips the average shooter on its head. I guess you could say it STAYS FRESH.
Freaking flooders, they're even worse than TLOZ's phantoms! What is it with Nintendo and invincible OHKO enemies with odd lines of sight in tight corridors, at least with phantoms you can draw them away or stun them, and flooders can still follow you in squid form if they saw you in human form sometimes, gah I hate those damn things and I have to replay lvl 25 for the sunken scroll
When I saw the scroll that had this song's sheet music on it, I played it out on a virtual keyboard and thought "wow, that's a cute little song." Then I heard it during the final boss battle and choked up a bit. It's basically the Inkling anthem they're singing.
+Sygmus6 Yeah. It's... It's bootifull. It's like "WE'VE COME TOO FAR TO LOSE! CHAAARRRRGEEEEE!" This combined with the insane reflexes that you need to MASTER for this part of the boss... I've never lost on this part. You know why? BECAUSE THIS MUSIC IS TOO GOOD TO STOP HEARING!!!!! This part of the final boss is freaking catharsis incarnate! I love it. This is my favorite boss of all time. The way it's put together... Just... Pure mastery.

I absolutely love that Nintendo was smart enough not to take this game seriously and opt for a funny game. I had so much with this game, the game play is great, and Nintendo wasn't trying to make this some epic saga. Laughed my ass off in the final boss fight. This is how you make a game, Nintendo.
Note to anyone reading this: The final boss isn't the Squid Sisters. The final boss is Octopus Skrillex. The Sisters play encouraging music for the final push (aka the final phase).

It's been stated that DJ Octavian was controlling the Octolings using his music, Callie and Marie presumably do the same - music seems to have a huge effect on Squids and Octolings. So Octavian is weakened and we are presumably being "powered-up" or motivated in a way.

This Boss definitely becomes my new favorite boss, above all Zelda bosses. I dunno why, but the 2 Final Boss musics caught me, they were both epic and stressful. When i first saw this game in E3, I was like : "What da hell. I'm never gonna buy this crap". Slowly, this game caught my attention more and more. The Splatoon Direct and the Testfire let me understand how good this game is.
HyruleGamers I usually don't respond to to 2 week old comments, but this one deserves it. I play this game with my siblings, and just last night beat the final boss. The entire time we were enjoying exactly how awesome a fight it was, rocking to the music and reveling in the experience. We kept saying it was awesome and like a Zelda game, but as the fight went on, we decided that it was better than any Zelda boss fight we had experienced. The badass music, the cleaver dialogue, fighting on despite how MUCH the game was throwing at me, I agree 100%. I can't think of a Zelda fight that had a more powerful impact on the game than this did for Splatoon. It truly tied together the whole experience for us.
Can't agree enough. I wasn't impressed by what little E3 footage I saw, but tried the Testfire just for the heck of it. Was blown away by how fun it was, and bought it just a few days after release. Incredibly great final boss to an excellent campaign.
Quinn C. and the new August update has now made it a MUST OWN game for the WiiU. In fact, buy a WiiU just for Splatoon, Mario Kart 8, and Super Smash Bros for WiiU. I've gotten the most hours out of my WiiU from those three games and I enjoy every single one, especially Splatoon now with the new update. It's an amazing addition to Nintendo's IP lineup and we now have the Inkling in the Nintendo family :D

I remember when this game was advertised for its beta testing. I played 2 of the 3 scheduled beta tests because the first time was just too much fun. Bought the game the day it came out. Beat the boss once. Couldn't do it again because it was so tough. One of the most fun final boss battles ever though with those wasabi beats.
The final boss. oh god. the difficulty just rams up. The enemies are intense. loads of puns and an epic music. best shooter of 2015 10/10 would splat white ink again.
"Enter the Octobot King" is by far my favorite boss fight ever. He doesn't force into tough situations too often, but he does a great job of capitalizing on mistakes. My final time for him when sweating out was 9 minutes.

Let's be honest, the first time we all heard this theme during the final boss. We knew shit was boutta get real. I'm a late bloomer to these games, but when I reached this I felt a motivation to push forward on this boss lol.
I found this video while browsing the OST. I feared I was spoiled the final boss, now that I finally finished I was glad to see I wasn't. I would've loved if the Squid Sisters teamed up with me in the final fight instead of just speaking through the radio tho.
Man today I started up my Wii U looking at my games and I played a bit of pikmin 3 but when I looked again I found splatoon and I remembered the awesome boss fight sense I can no longer play online due to every Wii U online server being long sense shut down so when nearing the end this started and it brought back memories...
Crazy how its been 8 years and I'm still playing this game and following along. It has gone so far, splat 1 is still the best tho. RIP s1, even though I still play it, it's just not the same anymore. S3 will never be as good.
OH! I just got the best new idea for Splatoon DLC! How about they add in a extra single player world with new levels that involves the Squid Sisters. Then, as the boss for the world, we can fight both Callie and Marie at same time in a turf war. It will be you the player VS both Callie and Marie in their Agent Uniforms where they can use a wide variety of weapons against you by using almost every single type of weapon in the game. And the way to beat them is to try ink more turf than they do in under three minutes as this song is playing. And if you manage to beat them, you can earn special weapon types and even get their Squid Sisters outfits for you to wear as your outfit! How does this sound guys? I think it'd be GREAT!!!

Later when Cuttlefish is freed Agent 1 also says: "Don't you ever worry your granddaughters like that again!". Also, their hair and color schemes line up.
This game is a fantastic reminder that Nintendo still has the potential to not sell us short. They can and will give us one heck of a challenge in their games. Thank you Nintendo, for not babying us!

Let's be honest, the first time we all heard this theme during the final boss. We knew shit was boutta get real. I'm a late bloomer to these games, but when I reached this I felt a motivation to push forward on this boss lol.

I found this video while browsing the OST. I feared I was spoiled the final boss, now that I finally finished I was glad to see I wasn't. I would've loved if the Squid Sisters teamed up with me in the final fight instead of just speaking through the radio tho.

Man today I started up my Wii U looking at my games and I played a bit of pikmin 3 but when I looked again I found splatoon and I remembered the awesome boss fight sense I can no longer play online due to every Wii U online server being long sense shut down so when nearing the end this started and it brought back memories...
Crazy how its been 8 years and I'm still playing this game and following along. It has gone so far, splat 1 is still the best tho. RIP s1, even though I still play it, it's just not the same anymore. S3 will never be as good.

OH! I just got the best new idea for Splatoon DLC! How about they add in a extra single player world with new levels that involves the Squid Sisters. Then, as the boss for the world, we can fight both Callie and Marie at same time in a turf war. It will be you the player VS both Callie and Marie in their Agent Uniforms where they can use a wide variety of weapons against you by using almost every single type of weapon in the game. And the way to beat them is to try ink more turf than they do in under three minutes as this song is playing. And if you manage to beat them, you can earn special weapon types and even get their Squid Sisters outfits for you to wear as your outfit! How does this sound guys? I think it'd be GREAT!!!

boynedmaster When the final boss theme (phase 2) plays a Squid Sister's song, Agent 1 says: Agent 3! Can you hear our song?" but the text is upside down. Later when Cuttlefish is freed Agent 1 also says: "Don't you ever worry your granddaughters like that again!".
