I was diagnosed with GAD (General Anxiety Disorder) a few years ago and what really helped was developing a routine to manage it and get to the core of the beliefs (thoughts) that drove it. Mindfulness meditation helped a lot - I used a book called "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety" by Harper Daniels in conjunction with other books like "The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook" by Bourne, and journaling my emotions every morning, eliminating high caffeine beverages (coffee was ruining my nervous system, it was fuel for my anxiety), cold showers, a lot of exercise, and learning to set boundaries with people (I never had any...which led to high anxiety)...these things helped me get into a much better place today :) Maybe this can help someone. We're all uniquely different, so it's important to find ways to manage our unique anxiety and OCD triggers.

@@x.0.x. The initial 10 sec is always difficult, but after 30 sec it becomes surprisingly relaxing. My body now craves them when feeling overly anxious. They've helped improve my sleep also. It's kinda like inducing a stress for the body to deal with, and then the body adjusts and becomes more adaptive.

This misbelief that was kept me stuck in the loop for 20 years. I did not even realized my rumination is not normal, I just thought I am overreacting things. I wore the glasses of fear so long.
