To me, Mexico City is kind of a fusion between Mexico, Paris or Madrid, Tokyo and New York. Some areas of the city look very European, like the Historic District, Condesa and Roma Norte, Some look very American and some remind me of Japan. And then, you have beautiful areas like Coyoacán, San Ángel, and Tlalpan that look like the Mexican colonial towns that you would find in other parts of the country. The other thing I love about the city is that it is so vibrant and so exciting. There's always something to do and it also has a great cultural and art scene. Not to mention the food. Anyway, I'm Swiss and I've been to a lot of cities around the world and without a doubt Mexico City is among my top 5. I've been there 3 times and the last time I was there I spent 2 months. I love it!

Tourists and digital nomads are destroying our city making it literally their property, they only hangout with each other, displace locals, raise prices, appropiate and pervert our culture, speak English obnoxiously loud on the street demanding it to be spoken in classes and events. They think we live an exotic jungle they can colonize and move "to live like kings" they said. They dont care about us, they care its cheaper, because they earn in dollars. Sad chapter of white colonialism in native land.

I have been living in Condesa for 7 months and love it. I have two small dogs, so this is the perfect location for us. The cost of living is about like any larger city in the US. Eating out is expensive. I am just learning Español, and the people here have been ver patient and welcoming. I have Permanent Residency and will probably be in CDMX for several years.

Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, is a bustling metropolis that blends a rich tapestry of history, culture, and modernity. It's known for its impressive historic sites, such as the Aztec Templo Mayor and the grand Metropolitan Cathedral, as well as world-class museums like the Frida Kahlo Museum. The city's diverse neighborhoods offer a variety of experiences, from the trendy cafes and art galleries in Roma to the historic charm of Coyoacán. Mexico City is famous for its street food, vibrant markets, and a lively atmosphere. While it grapples with urban challenges like traffic and pollution, it also showcases a strong sense of community and a warm, welcoming spirit, making it a captivating destination for travelers and a home for millions. Thanks, Crosby Grace Travels!

Other than traffic and pollution, the extent of poverty is dispiriting. Just too many poor people trying desperately to eke out a living. You've got to be a blind and oblivious North American gringo tourist to not see the poverty and despair.

@@arshadali2312listen! Not all the people you see in Mexico City are Mexican, unfortunately they are people from Central and South America, there is a big problem with Mexican citizens with all these people who enter the country in caravans and the Government is to blame for letting in all those people, because they come with other ideas and bad education from their countries, especially people from 🇦🇷🇨🇺🇻🇪🇭🇳🇭🇹🇨🇴🇧🇴 people who are not well seen in the country for that reason, in addition to many others Europeans who enter the country and do not pay taxes and want to live like kings, that is why many people in Mexico are against this president AMLO who is doing things wrong, but many see it differently, when people like someone who has education We see things differently for the good of the country of Mexico. On the other hand, I know that there are also poor people in Mexico, but at least one knows their people.

So jealous every time I see a good video of Mexico City! I took a solo trip in 2021, I stayed at a bed n breakfast. I did a tour every day through Airbnb tours. My only regret during my stay was not eating enough street food. I was told by one tour guide (local) you need to go downtown to the street vendors to get the most authentic and the cheapest.
Yes, prices in Condesa and surrounding large foreign neighborhoods are quite high for food. Cant wait to go back and explore more. I recommend anyone visiting, there is so much more outside of Condesa and Roma Norte areas, do touristy things (and hidden gems) and get out there and explore!

Hey I live in CDMX, if you have any questions about it let me know! I'm happy to help! I think Mexico City is actually a lot cheaper than you're experiencing. You're just in the areas that are the most expensive. Your rent in that place is outrageous! You can easily pay $5000 pesos a month for a decent apartment in other areas, and plenty of places are even cheaper.

I've been a fan of your videos for a long time. However, on this video I must say that the impressions you are sharing are limited to the colonias you are moving around which are the most gentrified, where tourists are, etc, but that's not the full face of Mexico city. La condesa,Roma Norte and Polanco are just a tiny piece of Mexico City but not all. As you said, Mexico city is huge, I'm glad you acknowledge that within your video and I'm glad that you're continue practicing your Spanish.

Yes 100%! This was just from my first few days in CDMX and I’m staying in La Condesa so of course my impressions are based on the lifestyle there. I can’t possibly explore the whole city in just a few days as you know (and I’m also here completely solo so it’s a bit intimidating as you can imagine 😅) In my next vlog I check out Centro and Coyoacán which I absolutely LOVED! Excited for you to see that one 😊

Hello Grace, nice video! as a resident of Mexico City, I think that, as you say, it is enormous and that brings an enormous diversity of offers, of different price ranges and products, in the tourist areas and even planned for foreign tourism if it can be expensive for a Mexican. , but outside of there prices tend to drop considerably and you can get practically anything outside of those areas, it's just a matter of searching. On the other hand, in the country, the southeast has been forgotten for decades (except for the Riviera Maya) and has been less economically developed, which is why Chiapas (the state where San Cristobal de las Casas is located) and Oaxaca are among the states poorest in the country, hence everything is cheaper I think.

It has a temperature, a pulse, a constellation and it's image was proven floatin on the tilma. Cactus tilma doesn't last this long. Also, the Museum in Polanco that Mr. Carlos Slim built in honor of his wife and the musium of anthropology. Oh Bellas Artes, the restaruant inside the house of tiles which is amazing.
