Looking at a week in Sicily, have enjoyed different videos you have done. Where would you suggest as base for a week, couple in 50's, like walking. like all the ones of yours we have watched! Thanks
Oh i am glad to hear that. Both side of the island are beautiful. First we stayed at Catania to visit Syracuse, Taormina, Savoca, Ragusa and Modica. Then we rented a car to go to Palermo and visited Cefalu, Castellammare Del Golfo, San Vito Lo Capo and Erice. We only had 5 days but its really not enough for those places. A week is great. Both side has nice beach districts and medieval towns. It depends how to spend your time. May be both side half half. Its difficult to choose one of it. I falled in love with Cefalu at Palermo side. Also Taormina is quite nice place for summer holiday at Catania side. Really difficult to choose one side :) Do the both !
It depends what you looking for. For 3 days you can visit many places around Taormina and Catania. Or you can rest at the beach whole day and enjoy the nightlife around the town. Savoca is close to visit for couple of hours. Catania is nice to visit with a daytrip. Or you can have a road trip during the day to Syracuse, Ragusa and Modica.
Yeah there is a little bit conflict. Think that Sicily has cities like Palermo more than 600k, Catania more than 350k or Messina is more than 250k. But Taormina is just 10K 😀
Taormina is not so much party place, but there are lounge bars and night clubs as well. But don’t expect so much ☺️ It seems much more romantic place like Amalfi Coasts
@timothyoreilly6675 whenever you want to visit, please let me know. I can give you the best tips about both side of the island. And soon i will start to publish videos from Cyprus ✌🏽

On Google it says Taormina is a city.

@@AlpGalipcy Wow. Super drastic population stats. I'm just now discovering Taormina. It's beautiful. I wonder how the the nightlife is.
