Travelling from Sharjah to Dubai is a nightmare, if you have your own transport or company transport n if you leave sharjah around 7:15am, then to reach bur dubai, will take you 1hr15 mins, if you have to reach DIC, then you have to add another 30mins, almost 3-4 hours you will spend daily on travelling, there is no direct public transport from Sharjah to Dubai. At office hours, a taxi from sharjah to Dubai will cost between AED 160-180 one way. Considering all these factors, if the work place is in Dubai, its better to stay in dubai itself

Not exactly right... There are hundreds of Coaster Van's which pick up one from in front of home and drop in front of office... costs approx 400 aed pm... Then there is sharjah and dubai intercity buses to places like Union... Mall of emirates .. Burdubai etc...

Hi Shilpa...nice video...I was looking for such info when I moved to AD from Delhi in 2016 and there were almost none....But I don't think a small family can live well in 10K in Dubai if they rent an apartment...maybe in a partitioned villa, one can get a studio and it will be inclusive of utilities, wifi etc so one can economise a lot...and there a lot of other expenses like fines, car renewal fees, travel costs etc...but then it all varies from people to people....somebody's luxury may be somebody's necessity, so it is hard to generalise....but if one earns a couple of lacs in India per month, one needs around 25K to get the same standard of life in Dubai/AD....thanks...

Hi Rashmi, u can get house help on an hourly wage depending upon the location u will live at and the no.of hours u need the help, the more the hours, the lesser rate they will demand..for example in Toronto if u want to get house help daily for 2 hrs, it will anywhere be between $20-25 per hr if u book directly....companies charge almost the double...

Hi Sharmin, as we have never lived in RAK, we won't be able to justify with the video..I guess it should be atleast 30-40% lesser than dubai because of cheaper rents and lesser utility bills..

It allows you to stay in UAE for longer term but like a PR, it won't make you eligible for Citizenship.
