Best decision you have made. Hiring Chris he is full of knowledge knows the old stuff and the amount of stuff getting done at the shop is amazing your channel is going to explode.
Let's hope so!
@@fsctrucking Its a given , Especially with the work on the cabover 🙂
Open up the shop to customers now that you have Chris.
will be interesting to see how long it lasts before he cant afford to pay him
@@MiaM1ViiCE - Why be negative about this? You don't know the man's finances.
Listening to Chris talk, you can just hear the knowledge and experience he has. He is going to teach everyone on this channel something just by talking and explaining things.
I like Chris. Nice ford dually he’s got!
You made a great decision hiring Chris. You watch and listen to him and you can tell he has a lot of knowledge. I think this will do nothing but improve your life and Utube channel. Keep it coming.
Awesome video, you and Chris are starting to bond as a team. He's defo old school. Knows his onions. A very wise investment on your part Steve. Sure could have used a forklift though.
Chris ain't afraid to work looks like. You fellas will make a good team.
Looks like Chris might know a Lil somethin somethin lol
Steve I worked at a gas station and was the tire guy and in those days people would put their snow tires on for the winter on one of those Saturdays I swapped out 18 sets of tires and some of them had tubes in them!!!😂😂!! Now with the all season tires it’s not a thing anymore!!! And I’m glad they didn’t do big truck tires!!
And nothing stays on the road anymore in bad weather...
I'm glad Chris is on the FSC Team discovering new problems on your flatbed trailer. Be safe y'all.
❤❤ Steve you guy's are gonna do great things together, you make a good team.
I love watching our TH-cam videos they are very educational and I that chirs is doing great job on helping you out on these projects and I love the content in the videos so how can get a shirt form you
FSCTrucking.com
Chris is an old school work in mechanic. He's from the old work in days
That is exactly why I hired him.
That's exactly why I'm here. Two guys who think alike
Chris can repair things and not like a new mechanic change components ❤❤❤
Chris made quick work of separating that tire from the rim. Leverage and experience.
Can't wait to see the FSC cabover fleet vid.
Chris seems like he will be an incredible addition to the FSC brand and channel. Will there be a video on the enclosed trailer issues? I've always liked that giant trailer and kind of wish we saw more of it.
Perhaps in the future. Right now we have plenty of other better jobs to film.
Can't wait to see what comes next. Really glad he found those problems on the trailer now and not loaded hundreds of miles away.
Thank you, Chris's & and Steve, for such an interesting video. I am glad Chriss is there to help you, Steve he is a great ASSET to FSC
If you wanted to bolt that plate on VS riveting look into tread inserts and the installation tool. Great decision to hire Chris
If you get good at changing tires, everyone will ask you to do it and you'll do nothing else - and get stuck doing the crappy job. Its called the curse of the competent. Trick is to teach the new guy ...
This brings back memories of when I worked on trucks back in the 80's.
Steve and Chris getting it done. Have a good week everyone. I can't wait for Orwell to get some love with those aluminum rims all the way around. He'll be snappin necks for blocks. 🤣🤣
Your mechanic is a good one Steve, start working on other trucks to help with the payroll, there is a ton of work out there, my buddy has a shop and his lot is full of trucks waiting to be worked on he has done it for 40 years makes good money $120 an hour. Get some of those Weidmeyer Owner Operators and do their work.
You Guys certainly are a match when working together and getting things done, You Steve and Chris have got good ideas going on there in the FSC TRUCKING SHOP lol 🤣😁🤣😁🤣 keep up the good work guys, you can get it done and dusted, Bless You Both 🤓👍 S. Wales Uk 🤓👍👌🙏🏽
Great video Steve really enjoy watching you work with Chris on your many projects. Then find a problems with your trailer to fix. Thanks for sharing stay safe Steve and Chris.
Can’t wait to see the progress!
Love watching the spanner side of the job too mate Chris is going to be a great addition to the team 👍
Looks like Chris is awesome 🎉
Chris is doing great work. Great hire.
Hey Steve! Nice To See This Stuff Man!
Im thinking for merch you need to offer a highvis shirt with an orange stripe going from left shoulder across the front. Kind of how a "seatbelt" goes.
I actually thought of something like this
A lot of work is getting done. Chris is efficient & productive. It will be good to see him get stuck into that Cummins. When do you get the fresh frame rails?
Great work and nice to see you guys moving forward 👍
Finally got you a right hand man boss hell yass!!
Stay safe Steve
Old two piece/split rims-dayton or webb wheels--my aching back--thinking about breaking some of them down back in the day...
More budd and even the newer style pilot wheels must be nicer...
Steve sir it will be so cool to see Orwell pulling the chapel trailer a new look for Orwell from time to time ?when you don't have to use him for flatbed hauling🙂
Make a cardboard template of the front of trailer bolt pattern that way you can scrap the crap lol .
coupler kick plate could have done on the trailer but the foam could have caused a problem must easier to fix it off the trailer like you have it bottom rail could be reinforced with steel like you suggested paint the steel put Mylar tape on the steel facing the aluminum bottom rail if you do a lot of tires i suggest getting a golden bar you wouldnt need the bars to to remove the tire off the rim
I'm glad to hear this Steve
That's one of the reasons why we keep old tires around for stuff like that. Plus setting engine's on if engine stands are being used. One of our mechanics customized a big tire changer for semi tires and heavy duty tires and it works excellent. I was like that's what we needed like 15 year's ago. I paid him to make another one just in case they are slammed with changing big tires and he did and I helped him weld. That's what we use all the time Engine Jack's and Floor Jack's to move stuff like that. Nana (Jessie's Grandma) said hell yeah that's a good idea to do. Same way we do taking difs apart.
Looks like you've found the man ya been looking for Steve he fits in realy well . knows the job and not frighten to do a bit of work good luck you two will make a good team cheers "RB" Albury Australia
Very interesting. Looks like a good fit, already sharing information with each other and "synergistic" problem solving. All the best!
Great video especially now you got a partner in it views will definitely go up.
For having 104k subscribers viewing figures are low.
Boy oh Boy Steve there is a lot of work to be done on the Merch trailer. Its going to take a lot of time to get it road worthy. Are you going to repaint the exterior. Maybe you could wrap the trailer and have your logos printed on it. You live right by an awesome wrap shop.
Seems like a forklift and some high racking would be very handy in your unit to handle some of these heavy parts.
Steve I think it's time for invest in a plasma cutter while u doing all this expert fabrication now too???
Steve doesn’t look like he’s afraid of hard work
Great video. You and Chris make a good team. I'm glad to see that
Badger truck close to you has lots of parts! I use to go there! Really nice!
Yes, we know it well
I got to the part with your 5th wheel front plate of the chapel trailer and the problem on how to fix it back on when it's done and ready to refit, well, could you not go up a bolt size and tap a thread into the old holes in the uprights on the ends and screw it down, or weld a plate inside the C channel so the bolts can screw into it instead of using nuts. Only needs a little weld at the bottom to stop the plate shifting, but it also spreads the pressure across the whole C channel instead of localised pressure using nuts and washers. It's just my 5 cents worth.

I have found that using the cherry picker and a strap takes a lot of work out of rum and hubs.
Wow ail that rust
Ripped your pants 😂😂😂😂😂
I'd come work on the Ford 😊
Chris needs FSC hats now that he works for you ❤❤❤
I will be getting some made eventually.
Excellent video, thank you for sharing/teaching
Looks like the shop is ticking over nicely. Will be a cool trailer for the boys to sit around after the gigs and sip some shine nice and warm.
😁🇬🇸🤘
Now that Chris is working, you need to increase merchandise of hats ❤❤❤
Id would add a thermo king shell in its a original position maybe same age as the trailer and hide a apu in there for power and aircon for when the trailer is in use as a merch trailer and mobile home mabe a mid size genset but yeah this build throws all sorts of ideas in your head doesnt it steve and chris
It will require something much bigger than an APU to Air Condition that thing.
Great video. You two work well together. Is it me, or are some of the videos out of chronological order?
Great video Steve
Good video again Steve y’all two work together good he seems to be a good man and good mechanic keep working hard my friend working on tires is a work out be safe on the road my friend good night
The capitol city of Wisconsin is politically lost
Ya think?
I've always hated those rims I rather have budd wheels
Yes, but the Ford will be kept as original as possible. They stay.
call up tim gentry. he has a a welder guy who redone his argosy stinger into a pin tow and redone his cattle trailer 5th wheel
I'm in Wisconsin. He's in Tennessee.
The front of the trailer holder the king pun and the skid plate
Over 30 years at the truck stop N bend Washington 1993 when i last seen it at the truck stop .
I found a plaque inside it that lead me to think they put it there in 1998. However it could have been there much longer.
Good evening y'all
My friend the Arkansas DOT Man, said they are allowed to do an inspecting at truck stops or anywhere, if needs be, not something he would want to do. He knows that drivers need their rest.
When they asked the old guy, "Why do they still keep you around", his reply was, "Because I know stuff and I have my own tools"! 👏🏽 👍🏼☺
you need to look at the way the carnivals did there stairs and decks and MAYBE fab up a belly box for stairs and handrails
When we get to it.
steve call a buddy with a rollback an let him take it to the scarpiron an sell it will save you $
Steve look into rivnuts so you can put a thread onto the c channels on the trailer so ya can bolt the kingpin back onto the trailer
Unibody construction. No framing. That’s why sidewalls need to be checked
Steve what happened to the v12 Detroit?
Try the old split ring bead rims, I have seen one pop off when airing up the tire in the field. The ring was on the ground with another tire on top and under a duce front bumper, the ring was dug out of the ground
🙏
You definitely need a forklift.
Thanks
Thank you!
Hey steve chris is going to be a big help how many square foot is your shop ?
oh man, just a money pit !
Air chisel and hearing protection
Size up on rivots
Be nice to have a forklift with long forks huh
Sure would be.
With own and customer jobs, there is the opportunity to upgrade the shop with equipment that makes Chris' job easier.
If wanting to bolt that instead of riveting maybe rivnuts?
Steve could you have a shipping container at your shop to storage truck parts?
Not here
It might be a possibility to make a new template using a piece of sheet metal or a piece of wood/ cardboard or something similar to get rid of the old heavy metal
You need a gantry on wheels with an electric hoist. Would make your resto work a lot easier
Steve
Don't be breathing that brake dust😮😮
So this was done during DoT's Blitz week?
Yup. Sure was.
I hope you guys are up to date with your Tetanus shots!
You and that now were purred bridges
OLYMPIC RIVETS.
What model of Dewalt hoover is that please, that has a nice big hose.
Tell Chris not to eat Wheaties, look what they did to Bruce Jenner
Luv this comment! Someone from my generation!!
That is the king pin plate not 5th wheel
Hey, I thought the 5th wheel was on the tractor, not the trailer
steve///he isnt happy/u shoyld b nicer 2 him /
9:34 Wow, that's bad.
Steve, curious why you ‘Liked’ those two foreign language SPAM posts?
