@SamuelNaldi - I wish you would have put subtitles the explicitly spell out the make and model of the pens. I am still a newbie to the fountain pen world. Although I prefer rollerballs, I like exploring different brands in production or out of production. Can you update your post with a It’s of all the pens presented? Thank you 😊 Edit: I am watching from the USA and English is my primary language. I haven’t mastered French, German, and Italian languages and accents.
Im very new into My Journey and seeing how Deep it will become is truly amazing looking forward. (My Favourite is the Otto Hutt DC i love the Full Sterling Silver and the Patina it gets over time). Thanks for your Passion
I loved this video. Thank you for sharing. What amazing and rare and unique pieces you shared. The special finds like the Bank or Music studio pieces are really special along with the 001 OH piece and…. Beautiful video. And the idea of a museum is awesome. Thank you. Manor
Wow. Stunning and remarkable collection. I agree it is more of a museum of great pens than a theme. I hope to see some of these in person some day. Thank you very much for sharing this amazing collection.
That's awesome. It's always intriguing to see what a passionate retailer like yourself buys for their own collection. You have access to more pens than most people will ever be able to handle in several lifetimes, so every pen you purchase is a reflection of what you really value. I particularly like the Chronoswiss Pelikan.
Such a beautiful and varied collection. Even though I love seeing the classic pieces, seeing the Cartier and that Chalana are what make this 'passion' so much fun. I've been collecting pens for a decade and never even knew either of these existed. Thanks for sharing, your videos truly are the best on TH-cam.
First of all let me start this comment by apologising. I’m so sorry I missed this video on the release date, sometimes I just end up having to play catch up, even with notifications turned on. Secondly, may a say a huge, massive Thank You. This was an absolute treat of a video, getting know the collector behind the amazing Style of Zug. Thank you for your continued contribution to the industry and for your wonderful insights. Thank you for sharing your magnificent collection ( and WOW what a beautiful collection) not forgetting to thank you immensely for your time and sharing it with us all. Can I simply state your collection is mesmerising, and dare I say a little surprising. I was expecting a few more Montblanc’s in there, especially the writers edition of Carlo Colldi… Pinocchio (However please don’t think I feel your collection is diminished in any way for not having more Montblanc’s). Your collection is an exquisite example of what an eclectic collection should be, showcasing some of the most captivating and unique pieces I’ve seen and having the most important aspect of any collection… A story behind it! (Just as a quick side note, I’m hoping at some point you possible add a Yard-o-Led and. Conway Stewart… not forgetting a Dunhill Fountain pen too) I love the fact that you have a tale or two to share about every individual piece, and that shows just how much you care. This is truly a passion for you (as it is for me and the others in this community). This is fundamentally how I personally collect. Each piece has a special meaning and connection to me, whether it’s how they make me fell and write, or whether it’s the recall of a memory or time (and place). You are the heart and soul of this fantastic community and I honestly can’t thank you enough for all that you do. You inspire me and others and have created a safe and marvellous place for us to join you on this epic journey with in the writing instrument world. I hope ( after you saying) that when you ink the Egyptian pen of the year that it brings you fortitude and prosperity. And may I finish by saying… Enjoy your new purchases, they are truly sensational ❤️
Wonderful awe-inspiring collection.. Makes me want to work hard and earn these beautiful writing instruments .. Great video as usual Samuel. Keep up such videos for us
Wow! Beautiful collection and thank you for sharing. Love the wood/silver one as well as the Cartier . Pinocchio is different a beauty as well - priceless given the story behind it! Have a safe trip!
Beautiful collection. You saved the best for last, I love the Caran d’Ache Rainbow! The Caran d’Ache brand is not on my radar but every time I see one in one of your videos I’m inspired. The Rainbow is the ultimate! P.S. I’m familiar with Caran d’Adache for art with their pencils and pastels! Great art brand!
Finally out 😃. Might not be the craziest to many,BUT, it is the craziest to you, which is what matters the most 😄! I personally loved the CdA rainbow! Thank you for sharing your pieces
It was a amazing video Mr.Naldi. Thanks for introducing me with these pens. I am fascinated by the pen which you showed last, definitely going to check it.
Hi Samuel. Love your channel. We have been collecting Marlen’s for a while now and have a lovely collection. My husband has been chatting with Marlen and asked why they are not more available in retailers. He was told they are working on a big advertising campaign, and updating their website where English will be the primary language. I will soon be showcasing my Marlen’s on my channel.
Wait not a single Japanese pen? Oh, there was one Sailor. But I can relate. I have a short list of Japanese pens I want to add to my collection, but I want to buy them in Japan. And now I'm waiting until I find the time to fly over for some pen shopping. And since all the pen you've shown are fancy pieces. I can recommend also having a look at the affordable pens. A TWSBI Sco is simply an S-Tier pen that puts almost all other pens to shame. Some Kawecos are just plain beautiful and fun to use.
I can definitely understand how certain pens can have a huge connection to big events in one's life. Definitely a nice collection you have Samuel. Any advantege of a snap on cap vs. a twist on cap, or visa versa?
What a great video! I can’t (yet) call myself a pen collector but your YT and Instagram are fantastic channels! Can I ask the name of the brand if the black leather pencil case? Thanks!
Samuel, thank you for sharing that great collection. I was wondering what Montblanc ink is in the Caran d'Ache Leman (Terre d'Ombre)? Is it by any chance 'Homage to Brothers Grimm Green'?
Highlight n°3 : Opening a museum : a so so good idea, proceed so please ! Alain Vanderauwera had done one in Yverdon-les-bains, but helas he is not with us anymore 😢. When you will open your museum, many pieces of the collection will be wonderful. I had a special fascination for the Aurora exposed at the MOMA, so rare and beautiful
Amazin, something curious is pretty much similar to my collection in the sense that i dont see something from japan, im really curious to see how works the POTY of 2023. Congrats and greetings from Mexico
@@SamuelNaldi I could have sworn you've spoken about Japanese pens that you personally own. Are you sure this video really is your entire collection . . .?
I actually liked the Pinocchio a lot. What a fabulous pen! I love the art and the creativity. Impressed with the Otto Hutt's of course. It's interesting that you like the collaborations. You need to give yourself a raise so you can purchase some more! ;-)
My highlight n°1 : The Design 08 n°001 : I understand so much the personnal museum concept. This FP can’t be valued I agree, it is priceless and a masterpiece, congrats. Though It is not a limited edition, I will search for myself an original Pilot Myu 701 with the date code 1971 on the nib because it was the first year of the release of this vintage FP. This will be to complete my personnal museum of vintage Pilots. Terry
I appreciate the collector side of things with rarity and precious materials, but I am much more a quality tool perspective buyer myself. What would you suggest for my specific taste if price is no object? I tend to like EF Japanese nibs, I have a Platinum 3776 nib in EF that I love. However, I would like something that more fits the quality level of the desk setup I have. I have a El Casco 24K gold plated ink well and a 24K gold plated solid silver Coppertist.wu rattle snake pen holder (hand made, probably one of a kind as they don't offer it anymore). I write all day, so the tool needs to be up to the task and I would like something on the bigger side as small pens cramp my hand. I like a back weighted pen for my writing style and converter is a must because my favorite way to fill a pen is to plunge the converter into the ink well. My current pen is a Esterbrook Raven Esti with a 3776 Platinum feed, nib and converter.
@@SamuelNaldi Thank you for the suggestions, good fellow. It looks like a Namiki No. 20 would fit my needs the best. I will probably pick one up this summer in fine.
