When he jokes about missing a spot on purpose while buttering the gratin dish, you can hear laughter in the background from the production team. Priceless.
Had to watch it back that is too funny good ear!
I am always so impressed by Jacques Pepin ability to cook 3 separate dishes to perfection in 20 t0 25 minutes with such apparent ease. He is a true professional. Much respect!
Chris...these are about 30 years old but because he is a nine time Michelin Chef he has a beautiful touch and a gentle approach. Just love him and have watched him over the past 30 years.
You watch some cooking channels to, maybe, repeat the recipe. You watch this man for the beauty of cooking.
Love how a master can even learn from a simple question "why?"
I love watching him put these meals together. And when he says his catchphrase.... "Happy Cooking". I've ALWAYS been happy when I cook. Whether it's for myself, or when I had to stay with Mom. I love cooking for my family.
Cleans up after every step. Chef is the best. A joy to watch
"Just present it on the side that looks the best ... there's no rules for that ... " Jaques Pepin
Major life advice coming out of Pepin's kitchen today ....
that souffle is divine, he dances in the kitchen, his every movement is so efficient, what he does in 20 mins is just incredible. A true master...
You are correct. He works logically. Each step is calculated. He enjoys what he does.
My favorite thing about Jacques is that he skillfully demystifies classic techniques. I’ve learned so much from him it’s insane. He helped increase my food knowledge.
Chef Pepin is such a delight to watch. Thank you for posting these.
He makes it look so easy and he goofs up so elegantly. Like the master he is.
The master. The absolute best. The incomparable Jacques Pépin!
Fantastic meal. Happy Summer! 😊👋
Incredibly perfected souffle-making technique. Very inspiring.
I love this amazing man. Jacques is truly a legend❤️
Yes, I have all its cookbooks
And this precious man is a nine time awarded Michelin Chef. So sweet and humble and authentic.
@@RebeccaPGarzaI have most of them.♥️
@@RebeccaPGarza lucky you I only have half of his cookbooks♥️
@@suzanne4504 I totally agree with you. He’s truly amazing.♥️
The last souffle I made was chefs moms Mamans souffle recipe, it was wonderful. And the sunbaked strawberries kind of remind me of when he made sundried tomatoes a similar way.
one of my three favorite chefs, who make incredible dishes with simple techniques and ingredients. happy cooking, chef pepin!
Who are the other two?
The one great thing about living in South Carolina is being able to grill year round. My most memorable time was doing Prime Rib for Christmas a couple of years ago and it was in the upper 20's, lower 30's. I almost froze cooking it and seeing the steam coming off the grill was fantastic.!!
Want to try the spinach, ham and cheese soufflé. Look delicious Chef Pepin
Yum! All my favorite foods...beautifully prepared. Wish I was there!
A culinairy legend learning from his daughter, love that.
He makes everything so simple…I have learned so much from him.
We love you Jacques!
Thank you.
I remember him cooking something it looked sooo good. I wanted to jump through the TV
The Legend.

Copper bowls hit different 😅
Yummy copper 😅
👍👍👍👍👍
I love you too 😋❤🥰🥰
😘
More butterfat!!
I thought he was cooking outside?
Why peel!?
All is well until he starts speaking of nutrition, which he is not well prepared to talk about.....really, he is pretty wonderful!
It was like the early 90s, 30 years ago. Was a different time.
This was from a time where everyone was scared of saturated fats and calories. It’s still a thing today, but it was much more intense during his time.
Im sure that when he’s cooking for himself he goes all in on the cheese butter and eggs lol.
He must have numb hands. He picks hot food directly up off the grill and stuff!
You get that from working in the service industry. It's a mark of pride and respect among known chefs.
I love to watch him cook and listen to his accent. My husband went to culinary school in Colorado and used to cook like this. Brings back memories.
Unusually sloppy!
Not watching 24 min cooking
Perhaps you should stick to Chicken McNuggets
