Peons* You think they're heroes? War will always exists and people killing other people ain't really heroes, lol. All the soldiers that ever existed were nothing more than peons on a chess board, lol. I mean look at it, people still have war these days, I still remember when the last ww2 vetran of America or The Netherlands cried and thought he would make peace in this world, what a fool, he realised that there will never be peace in this world after seeing Russia vs Ukraine.
My great-grandfather stormed Omaha beach and was in one of the first boats there. He was in the 1st Infantry Divison (Big Red One) and went all over Europe (Italy, Normandy, France and even arrived at Berlin) and even Africa. After the war, he served for MP until 1947, when he came home. He lived a quiet life in PA, and never talked about the war until he was about to die. Charles Waldron, your my hero. 🫡
My dad stormed omaha beach at the dog white sector early in the morning with the 147th combat engineers, 6th engineers special brigade. He was in the LCI (L) US 91. It struck an underwater mine as it neared the beach. After Normandy he went to fight in the battle of the bulge. He passed in 2013 at 90 yrs. Damn I miss him & my mom. Amazing people.
I still am shook to the core when I learned more in depth what these men sacrificed, imagine they send you on a mission and tell you, there is a 98% chance of mortality and you came back... boy an Angel was on your shoulder because there is no way anyone should've survived the odds were so greatly against us and we prevailed which shows that they were indeed the greatest generation to ever live.
Omaha beach was a suicide mission. And what’s more the boys knew about it. As soon as the doors of the ship dropped most were slaughtered right away. I am still shaken to the bottom of my soul about these beaches. I salute them respect and thank you to each one of them
Between 18 and 25 years old boys. Don’t forget them ! Not much older they be. Boys from 18 today, they play nintendo, no guns or fight to kill and survive. ☝🏽

I have such respect for what these D-Day warriors did. I'll never forget as long as I live. Those pillbox machine gun nests are a stark reminder of all of the sacrifices made.
Watching these clip gets me choked up and wet eyes because my grandpa and his brother were there unfortunately one never made it off the shores. To all soldiers that made it home thank you. To all the soldiers that never made it home you my be gone but will never be forgotten
For the people that don’t know: On the 6th of June 1944, German soldiers were settling on Omaha beach when American, British, and Canadian soldiers were hopping off of boats and attacking the Germans because they stole the land of I think France and Belgium. Many of the soldiers died of heartbreaking shots and we’ll never forget the sacrifice of these amazing men. One thing, June 6th is called “D-Day” meaning “DayDay”, so never forget these soldiers that sacrificed you and all of us in the world.🫡😢
So krass... 😔 Bitte weitermachen. Nichts davon darf je vergessen werden! Und, die älteren Generationen haben einfach nur Respekt und Demut verdient. Die armen Seelen die das alles erleben mussten oder noch schlimmer, mit ihrem Leben bezahlen mussten.
I was there in August 2022. Anyone traveling to France should go on the Omaha Beach/Normandy American Cemetery tour. We must all honor the greatest generation for keeping us safe and preserving our way of life.
You might get your wish. If Donald J Trump gets close to White House again, we definitely will be speaking, Russian, and German as well. You must remember Donald J Trump parents are from Germany Donald J Trump is a new Hitler in the house, with some Musalini as well. He is a mixed dog.
My Grandfather stormed the beach of Omaha. Then he helped take Normandy. He is and always will be a hero to me. He was army infantry and later he became a highly decorated soldier. Robert Palmer was his name. You and I can thank him and his fellow American warriors like Jake McNasty, for allowing all of the nations in that horrible war, to be speaking their native tongue. Not German. De Oppresso Liber.
