Like most of us growing up on our dirt bikes in the 60s and 70s we only saw photos of Roger in magazines . At sixteen years old I finally met Roger at the 1977 Trans AMA Race at the Mid Ohio race . Roger took the overall . I was in the pits afterwards with Roger and I traded my Buck pocket knife for his Suzuki team jersey . I still have it never put it on . Happy to see Roger doing well and still making a difference in the Motocross world .
Roger was my all time hero when I started racing. From his Barufaldi (probably spelled it wrong) goggles to his ABH leathers and Alpine Star/ High Point boots I had to have everything Roger had. I still think he’s the best of the best!! Thanks for Sharing!!!
Roger shared the Victor windshield wiper story at Tom White's Early Day of MX Museum the day after Joel Robert was inducted to Glen Helen's Walk of Fame. Terry Good was there.
