  • Lofi guitar tone is something that is a bit tricky to figure out on your own, but with a few effects and some tweaking with your tone and volume knobs you’ll get there in no time.
    This video is for people that want to use only analog gear without bothering with plugins. I hope this helps people who would like to play in a live setting or who just want to keep recording simple.
    Key points to take away from this video is use time effects like delay and reverb to give you space when hitting your notes to create ambience. Use modulation effects like chorus, phaser, flanger or vibrato. Use very light overdrive to imitate that pink noise coming from a record and that distortion you get from a tape recorder.
    Finally, to get your tone even sounding a compressor is always good to throw in the mix. I like using the Ibanez tube screamer TS9 because it gives a little bit of compression with distortion all in one.
