    Cortina, the Dolomites. So many places in Italy named after cars!

      Glad you're enjoying the videos! We strive for the no BS vibe so that's good to hear. The Dolomites were so incredible, one of our favorite places we toured this summer! Awesome that you did a similar route.

    My husband and I (ages 70 today! and 68) have been e-biking - day trips only - all over the Swiss Alps and Ticino for several years so we are very familiar with those areas but I am looking for information on biking similar routes in the Dolomites beginning next month. Yours is the first TH-cam I have found that didn’t look like it was done by Tour de France experts on roads with cars. Can you direct me to good information on dedicated bike paths in that region? I just found your TH-cam today for the first time so I don’t know if you have that information out there for the public. Thank you.

    Great starting shot riding towards the camera, looked awesome! Reminded me of some of cyclingabout's videos.

      He's a huge inspiration for sure, in fact our bicycle builds are pretty much straight from his recommended around-the-world-tour build webpage!

    Is the hills heavy going for a retiring old man from Ireland who wants to see the mountains before he heads to that final place in the sky 😅. Nice video .

    At the spot where you were in Italy on the bike highway to Kranjska Gora, did you take the time to go to Lago Fusine? It's really nice, and they have excellent pasta and strudel, plus farmers selling excellent cheeses from their pickups.

      We did not unfortunately, we'll have to put that on the list for next time! Sounds amazing.

    Nice! We crossed from Germany through Austria and over into Italy back in January and February 2014 as we worked our way to Rome. Our scenery was more white and less green! :-) Also very impressive that you're able to get so many views so fast having less than 300 subs. That is awesome and we need to figure out the algorithm you're using. Currently, we are sitting here in Baja, Mexico (Alaska to Argentina) working on our Episode 18, "Crossing into Mexico" and we saw your video. Cheers and happy cycling! ~Ron & Petra

      Awesome, we were planning to ride Alaska to Argentina (even had tickets to Deadhorse!) but the Canadian border didn't open in time, so we switched to riding Europe first. Baja is on our list for sure, we'll definitely get to it eventually! It must have been difficult to go through that part of Europe in the winter, we're taking a break right now in Croatia but planning on getting back on the road and heading into Greece in a few weeks. We're looking forward to getting back on the bikes but not super excited about the cold and rain! Just subbed to your channel, definitely going to check it out!

      @@RollingExistence Canada was closed for us too, so we took the Alaskan ferry from Valdez to Whittier, then to Bellingham, Washington. 4 days, 8 hours! We camped on the top deck in our tent, saw whales, seals, eagles, etc... Basically it's the poor man's cruise, but the ferry was really nice. Hot showers, great food, etc... Then down the PCH and now into Baja. As for cycling in the winter, yeah Petra wanted to give snow camping a try so yep that is what we did. Camped on a lot of farmer's lands usually behind their barn or off to the side. One lady farmer thought she was on hidden camera when we asked about camping on her land. She started laughing and asked where are the cameras because no one would camp in this weather! HAHA! After spending time in Rome we crossed over to Ancona and took the ferry to Split and cycled south to Athens and even went to Crete for a couple weeks before returning to Athens. The Croatian coast is so so beautiful, just be mindful of those winds if you haven't already noticed. As for Baja, we are really loving here and taking our sweet time rolling south. You will hear tons of horror stories about Highway 1, but you will be fine. Have some mirrors on your bikes and it's all good. The drivers and truckers here have been wonderful to us. The same goes for The Dalton Highway, you will hear horror stories about the truckers up there too, but they were great to us. It's when you get near the Arctic Circle sign you will get more tourists traffic and they don't realize how much gravel hurts when it hits as they pass doing 50mph! Anyway safe travels you too and all the best! ~Ron & Petra (thank you and we are following you as well!)

    Fantastic cycling route with spectactular mountainous surrounding scenery , they gradients don't seem too steep either, or are they ?

    • @RollingExistence
      @RollingExistence  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the most part the gradients weren't too bad, except for a few sections on the Auronzo-Misurina bike path that were so steep we had to push our bikes.

    Bello. Ho percorso alcuni tratti. Altre zone devo farle, ho anche fatto di corsa da Dobbiaco a Cortina 😂. Bravi.
    Un unico appunto... Non esagerare con la saturazione, le montagne sono bellissime al naturale

      Abbiamo avuto dei problemi con l'impostazione del bilanciamento del bianco sulla fotocamera (era impostata su illuminazione fluorescente!) e alla fine abbiamo avuto difficoltà a correggere il colore di questo video, scusa se sembra un po' strano! ma siamo contenti che ti sia piaciuto.
