KIWIVISION I don't know if you know that Käärijä is doing a small European tour that is going really well for him. . Sold out venues everywhere, with very enthusiastic crowds at every venue. What is special about it is that he only sings in Finnish.
So pleased to hear this! He seems like an amazing guy and deserves every success.

"Huhhahhei" is pretty much the Finnish equivalent of "yo-ho-ho" that pirate shanties use.
Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum = Huhhahhei ja rommia pullo

I just love this song! "Huh hah hei!" doesn't really mean anything, it is a translation of one chant from a sea song called "Dead Man's Chest" from a novel by Robert Louis Stevenson called Treasure Island (1883). The original lyrics are: "Yo, Ho, Ho And a Bottle of Rum!" and that was translated into Finnish as "Huh Hah Hei ja rommia pullo!" (1909) You might recognize the chant from Pirates of The Caribbean. So Käärijä has incorporated into his song again some very old Finnish music history. And the most wholesome part of this song is the end, a big cruise ship is blowing its fog siren, perfect way to end a song that takes place in a cruise ship. I love this song, it makes me happy!

"tuu ku" is slang for the standard Finnish "tule kuin"
So the whole Finnish sentence "Mä koitan vastaa mut ei suusta tuu ku äh, juu"
would be "I try to answer but from my mouth comes nothing but uh, yeah"

Allegedly, the title refers to orgasm sounds. Not actually "hahaha", as one would think.

huhhahhei is not o sounds, but also not hahaha as laughter.. but there is sex sound in the lyrics.. lääh puuh
I take the "huhhahhei" as a reference to the different direction and would translate it something like "something happening by accident and not really caring about it too much", so it is more like "oops" or "uh-oh".
After trying to fit in with the storyline and thinking, what the whole huhhahhei part would refer to, I have translated it to "oopsiedaisy".
And like with few other Käärijä songs, I translated this as well in a more literal manner.

you are absolutely right! Huhhahhei means they are having sex. He actually says it in the lyrics by himself. Just read it correctly 😀. Story of the song is: Let's go on a cruise, go to a disco, find someone and go to cabin and make love. And huhhahhei means they are having sex. Käärijä is a comedian.
