People who know what Tommy is capable of and are disappointed by this song are missing that the disappointment and tackiness are the point - It’s Cash knowing exactly the context and the history in which the song is existing within. Yes, his other music is much better produced, but this song is specifically made for Eurovision, and as such, it is “not good”. It is also simultaneously so bad that it is good. Tommy is more than just a musician, he is a conceptual artist. His participation in Eesti Laul and potential participation in Eurovision , with this song in particular, is meta commentary on the commercialization of European identities. This is why he is parodying Andy Warhol eating a cheeseburger, which is a video about the mundane aspects of consumer culture. It’s purposely bad, camp, and utilizing Italian stereotypes as a reflection of Eurovision and its history of exposing Authenticity vs. Artifice in popular culture through music. He is absolutely making fun of Eurovision with his song in the most spectacular, brilliant, and subtle way. Of course there are better songs in Eesti Laul this year, but there is no better spectacle than Tommy Cash - and Eurovision, in its entirety, is a contest of spectacle. Estonia has the opportunity to make a very stupid but not dumb choice to send him. If selected, the antics he will pull both on and off stage will completely change the way artists approach Eurovision moving forward.

I agree, much better than Neoneon, She was my first favorite, it's great that she will represent Montenegro, good song, good voice, but her hand movements are strangely nervous. Poland made the right call in 23. I'm glad they sent Solo, not Gladiator by Jann, who's essentially a male Luna. He can't sing and his song is less engaging less dynamic than Solo (maybe if his English was better, the beat wasn't stolen from Sweet Dreams and had more bass, ZERO synths, and he sang it in a more dynamic way, just like with The Tower, but it would have been performed like on the record, with minor changes, I guess)

They obviously make the wrong decision. Luna can't sing, and her song wasn't as engaging as Witcher Tarohoro. There's a reason why Kasia Mos, the only actual professional on the panel, was the only one who didn't give any points to Luna

This would have qualified, unlike Luna, firstly, because she can sing and secondly, because her song is a little bit more catchy and sung in a loader and more dynamic way. The first crucial first words of this song are dragging you in (just like River and Solo), and the chorus is very catchy as well. This could have hit the top 10 with the televote a 3rd time in a row.

Wow, what an incredible performance by Spain at Eurovision! 🇪🇸 Despite not winning, the representative, a 56-year-old woman, truly stole the show. Her powerful message about women’s empowerment and living life to the fullest resonated with everyone. Age is just a number, and she proved that with her remarkable singing. Kudos to her for shining on that stage!

I think Austria will get through as the club vibe is strong. But the more I heard Armenia, the less I liked it; the same for Estonia. San Marino feels like a rip off from Maneskin so doesn't feel it will get through . But I am looking forward to our annual family Eurovision Party in Christchurch with flags, food and alcohol starting at 7am.

I really love Estonia if they get the staging right it can do well (remember Moldova 2022? ) . Netherlands is my favorite in this semi final, at first I thought it was just a plain 'Eurovision' song but that slow ending really gets to me every time, and anyway it has a great message. Nemo I am a bit put off by his costume too, it takes your mind off the actual song which is a shame. I am still undecided about Norway, I love the dark viking feel but the chorus is just her yelling it feels like something is missing there.

Its a very open semi final, I would really hope Azerbaijan makes it, I really like the ethnic vibes but as you said not sure enough people will vote for it. I have the same feeling for Australia too, I would really want to love it but it just seems a bit flat. Yeah Finland is funny but I don't like either of the voices, the falsetto just seems off to me, but I think they will qualify anyway. I am in my 50s but dance to Lithuania too I think it can capture a broad audience. My favorite of course is Croatia, I hope it wins in the end. Have a nice time in Japan!
