im curious would the sugar make it worse i would understand with honey cause of its antibaterial properties but i thought sugar help grow bacteria faster

You aren't necessarily eating the sugar, it's used to draw out the liquid in the onion. Like, how salt is used for the same purpose in cooking. Except you're draining the extracted liquid from the onion for use instead of removing the liquid and eating the onion.

@@thephenom718 depends on the honey and which onions you use definitely not as strong tasting as over the counter cough medicine but those are just chemicals and flavourings. I use organic honey and organic garlic.

you should NEVER heat honey. It loses it's medicinal properties.

No just cut them up you can even diced them up add sugar let’s sit for about an hour shake it up and draw the liquid from it. It is very very effective
