Is this a gimmicky attempt from kitchenaid to move an older product with a small change to the display? Can you tell any difference between the convection bake setting and the air fry setting? This looks oddly the same as the dual convection countertop oven (KCO255BM)
Temperature accuracy must be why Americas Test Kitchen recommended a different brand of toaster oven. ATK claims that quartz heating elements result in better accuracy.
Hey Aaron, just found and subscribed to your channel. Comparing this device, I would be interested in your review of the Breville Combo wave 3 in 1. I have the Breville Smart oven pro and it's pretty amazing.
For the temp accuracy do they make it run hotter on purpose with the expectation of someone needing to open the door and put the item in after the preheat is done?. So it doesn't lose too much heat? Or is it just bad
Just found your channel. I was considering buying this because it looks like it would be easy to clean with the nonstick interior. But I also plan to bake in it. So, it does not bake evenly (biscuits, cookies, etc.)? Thanks in advance.
As someone that works on full size kitchenaid oven, you can ignore this temp test as this never works out for real temp. I laughed when he said he was going to test the temp.
@@aaronstestlab I wouldn't sweat what your probe is telling you. How your food comes out at the Time and Temp is what matters. Too many variables to be trying to to use an external thermometer. If it says your biscuits should be done in 12 minutes and they come out burnt in 8-9 minutes or still doughy at 16 minutes then you might have an issue unless there smaller or larger size biscuits than normal. Same with a pizza or even toast.
Correct. It’s more of an average temperature than actual temperature. I can hit +/- 5° on my Weber kettle for hours. Never seen an oven come close to that.

But how long can i cook with it for. My current mini oven i have to turn back on every 99 minutes. It doesnt have a simple bake
I like how technical you are, and your narration is clear, concise, and interesting too. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for measuring the inside measurement from the lowest rack. Everyone should measure that way.
And the thermal imaging good idea.
I have this for about 7 months now and inLove love love my kitchen aid countertop oven
Can you see the inside clear enough while cooking?
How quick is it compared to a regular oven? He set those fries at 17 min. Maybe that included preheat time but I can't tell how much time he saved.
Thanks : )
Does the timer start when the oven reaches pre-heat? Or does it allow you to put your food in and then hit start to begin time?
Great review!
What is the maximum temperature it reaches?

Not really
Thanks for posting a great detailed review!
Nice review.
Great review!! Would you still consider this even though it has accuracy issues?
Yes, mainly because I use it primarily for air frying and toasting. If I were using it more as a mini second oven I might think otherwise
how is it holding ?

Def could be
How do we use the microwave function do you know? Like warming up a cheese dip. Inuse pre heat but temperature is too high
No microwave function on this model
@@aaronstestlab it's not a microwave but it does have a reheat function.
Hello. May be you know
Is it possible to change temperature degrees from Fahrenheit to Celsius?
Not that I'm aware of
The LCD display does have a ⁰C symbol but there's no indication in the instructions on how to change it 🙃
Thanks for the review. Can it be used as an taoster oven without using air fry feature, is it easy to clean inside and it's accessories? Thanks.
Yes and yes
I had the oven and it gets smoky on the sides. Is it normal or defective???
How do you increase the volume when the timer ends?

Is this a worthy upgrade over the previous model for the extra $70-80? Does the dual convection really make a difference?
Haven't used the previous model so can't say if it's worth $70 to upgrade. The dual convection doesn't make that much of a difference.
I have the previous model, I find it more than adequate and the footprint is smaller.

Anything is possible. However, I did reviews on the Calphalon Performance Oven and the Instant Omni Plus, and both of them were pretty accurate.
Energy usage?
yes

I find that it bakes evenly, but then again, I'm not that particular of a baker.

That's not true. The other ovens I tested in this series were pretty accurate.

Had this oven brand new and gets smoky on the sides, is it normal or defective?
Sometimes new appliances smoke a little when brand new. If it continues I'd be concerned.
I've had this oven for about 6 months. After about 3 months, it started heating unevenly. I would not recommend it.
That's too bad, mine still works fine
Is it still good?????
Did you return it? 3 months is within warranty.
The fact that this oven did not hold the desired temperature, I would not buy it.
Help. Air fry
Help what?
