    I just found this channel while researching convection. I love the guy in this video so much I'm going to watch his other videos, even if I don't care about what the video is about. How great the world would be if teachers were like him.

      Don't listen to him.
      There are differences, though ones that if you're asking the question, might already know the answers.
      The presenter is very personable too, honestly robbing yourself if you choose not to watch it.

    My mother in law stored oil paints in her oven.

      Depends on what you want, I think a countertop air fryer is great if you don't need to make a tonne of food. If you're baking stuff like turkeys all the time, get a traditional convection oven. I have a toaster oven with a convection a setting because I don't like those plastic baskets

    Lmao the music is so funny and dramatic over his light and playful delivery. The music is like the scene where the hero uncovers the missing link to his past that affirms that he is, indeed, the chosen one, and that, after losing the previous battle against his nemesis, will now prevail, with the aid of his newly reinforced sense of purpose and destiny.

    Hey, Andrew, I want to give you a big shoutout for your spot-on explanation and absolutely outstanding sense of humor. Seriously, I couldn't stop myself from laughing! On the topic of unconventional oven usage, you won't believe this, but my mother used to put food in our massive washing machine for absolutely no apparent reason. Talk about a unique culinary approach, right?

    The convection oven is a lot better than a airfryer..... The taste is different all together to me... The air fryer dries the food out, making it tougher on the outside.... The convection oven doesn't do that in my opinion..... Just plain tastes better....

      You're doing it wrong then. For air fryers reduce the temps by 20 DegC Vs a normal oven and also reduce your cooking time. I do whole chickens, chicken wings, sausages, bacon, thighs basically if it fits it goes in and I've never really had issues. The only one I found dry were lamb cutlets but that's because I left them in too long. There are some things I won't put in such as roast beef due to size, mine does have a probe though so I can easily control cooking time for certain things.

    • @jonbedet
      @jonbedet ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@polla2256could be it. The same applies to regular ovens when using the convection / hot air mode. Actually it's not specifically 20°C but 10%, which happens to be 20°C in most recipes.

      I think they do the same thing, because they cook the same way. It's just you as the cook have to use it differently and adjust. I do feel like the airfryer cooks a lot faster though, which is probably your issue if you're cooking the exact same time but the airfryer is cooking faster.

    Hello, would you suggest a counter top OTG with convection function over an airfryer?
    I've been researching air fryers...And no matter which I select they have the common issue of breaking down early and poor customer service.
    I would need an OTG for baking and experimenting less oil fried stuff

    I currently own a countertop convection oven by Cosori. It works well, and it’s fairly large. I wonder if their drawer version crisps better and dries out meats and veggies less? I would imagine because it’s more of a bin shape, if it cooks faster that way or keeps moisture in? Not sure if anyone has compared the same brand, air fryer vs countertop convection with air fryer setting?

    There are some extra large toaster oven air fryer now that are tall and I believe they'll accommodate a 9 * 13 baking pan the toaster oven variety uses both the top and bottom elements whether it's are frying conventional baking convention baking. One caveat to consider is after talking to a few french fry manufacturers they have actually developed their recipes for the Standalone air fryers then the temperature they ask for cuz I want more than the preset on toaster oven air fryer with a digital control. I found with my toaster oven air fryer just best to trust the French fry preset lower the time between 10:15 minutes and just add more if needed. The French fry preset on my toaster oven air fryer 425 degrees F and I think the time is around 25 minutes which is a little too long. But when I reduce the time the results are great.

    Glorified toaster oven, couldn't have said it better. The use of convection in a small cavity is meaningless also, a gimmick. Also the difference between AF vs CO coming down to fan speed, is the government watching who calls it what? I store salad shooter in the oven.

    OK. So, I live in Tucson Arizona... Hot, Hot, Hot... 120 degrees in summer. With A/C running much of time to keep house cool, I use the Weber Gas BBQ as an oven. Does it make sense that the smaller Air Fryer could be used inside the home as it would take less time to heat up, cook food faster, and is smaller so it produces less ambient heat than the oven? I wonder how many people in my situation simply use an Air Fryer on the back patio during summer??? Quicker and don't have to refill propane tanks....

    I have a question. Or three.
    I'm considering aToshiba 7 in 1 microwave.
    I noticed the air fryer was only ten ridiculous presets.
    Like spring rolls. ???
    After that, they send you to the convection oven.
    I'm considering timing the presets. I heard they're the same temp.
    With the rotating turntable, does that make it more like an AF?
    Or In read combi mode was better. ?
    Any thoughts about the machine?
    Considering the 8 in 1 too.
    I heard Toshiba changed ownership. ?

    Right now, I am debating whether to get a countertop convection oven or a countertop air fryer. I want one that can bake 12" pizzas, and I like how convection ovens do pizzas, but I don't know whether to spend the extra $20~30 on an air fryer, or just go with a convection. 🤔

    • @abtelectronics
      @abtelectronics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @WorthlessDeadEnd We think it's definitely worth the extra cost to go with something that also has an air fryer feature. Here's one that works great for both: www.abt.com/Breville-the-Smart-Oven-Air-Fryer-BOV860BSS1BUS1/p/170869.html Be sure to contact our Gourmet Shop experts at 800-860-3736 to hear about any promotions we can't advertise online.

      For Pizza you'd want an oven with a stoneplate thrlat goes at least up to 350, better 400 degrees celsius without convection everything else is a poor compromise. Nowdays theese ovens exist in household size and prizes but I have heard of none with multifunctionality. There are great multifuncional ovens, some advertised as "can bake pizza too" they are good for other things, if the oven maxes our at 300degrees celsius it might he okish to bake a compromise pizza in it but getting such a thing for Pizza would be like buying a hammer to hammer because you can technically hammer your screws into the wall with it instead of buying screwdriver for the job it was made for.

    my Miele speed oven is so much more versatile, it air frys, bakes, broils, microwaves and can do all with or without a fan. Being only 24" it has enough capacity for a family and isn't so large as to have the issues of larger 27 or 30 convection ovens.

    Air fryer emits radiation just like a microwave. Convection is safer and healthier.

    • @mefobills279
      @mefobills279 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      air fryer has a calrod heating element, which glows red from electric current. Think electric stove top element. Above that element is a fan pointing down. This is mostly infrared heat. A microwave uses a magnetron, which is a different kind of radiation. Air fryer heated air is in convection flow.
