When I was 21, he was my god. I am 61 now, he is my human being. I am very delighted to see that he survives and comes back as beautiful human being. Long may he live.
He is so honest, it breaks my heart to hear that he was a junkie, I am glad that he survived and still made beautiful music, love you Kevin, always have always will♥️♥️
Looking really well Kevin and a very interesting interview. Congratulations on the new re-mastered album ..absolutely brilliant. I bought my Brother a copy and sent it over to him in Ireland for his Birthday and he can't stop playing it (neither can I). Met you at the 100 club a couple of years ago and still fondly remember it well.
I bought this album in 1999 *because* NME slated it. I didn't trust them. Never forgotten the songs. The inlay (remember them) explained exactly what the album was about what it meant to Kevin Rowland. Music that you like is more than sound, it has a human accompaniment that you can't hear, but can feel - it can be anything. Not many albums have that but this one does. I remember an interview afterwards where the interviewer asked "Why did you dress like a woman" and Kevin said "Because I felt like it so what". Says more about the interviewer than the artist.
An album I bought when it came out and the pink reissue. An album of great beauty and he’s absolutely right. Some of the comments about the image would be a hate crime now. Always ahead of the game in one way or another
Which is everything wrong with Britain. The comments were all taking the piss, as Brits do (or used to before this wrongthink nonsense). He's British. He absolutely knew people would take the piss in the press. And they did. And what I read was HILARIOUS! "Put it away, love" was one line I read that gave my girlfriend and I years of laughter at the reference. Meanwhile, you lefty idiots are ok with real crimes going on with impunity. Islamic rape gangs among you, and it's A-OK, as long as nobody makes fun of anyone for being a ridiculous bastard.
jaming jah man singing soon anon maybe hey ho who knows what where why or weehn until they do real men like kevin sir rowland on all the way mate thank you sir im crying now not even done xx belss you angel man x
How did I miss this interview? Just subbed to Cherry Red Records. Kevin, I listen to Rag Doll with Roo a couple of times a week. I love that video (and back-up dancers), and yes, you were finally vindicated. You are iconic. Can't wait to hear the new version of The Greatest Love. Much love.💚🌵
Vind geweldig hoe je er doorheen Bent gekomen Heb voor mij. Dike tien met griffel leven moet voor vechten dat god altijd bij staat yolanda uit Limburg veel liefde voor Kevin ga door met leven en geluk
Love the album now as Much as I did then. Great to have ‘ thunder road’ included. Better than the original and I’m not usually a fan of covers. If you love music. Go get this. If you don’t ‘ get it ‘ the first time go listen again …….
Ultimate! Reflections of My Life. In the video, I love the scene of the family Rowland stone, in particular, the film format. Also Kevin's little jig on the streets of New York. I also love the intro. Original.
I'm sorry he has to keep explaining his choices on that album. On the other hand, when he does, he is so loving about it, it stops the process of trying to pigeon-hole it.

Thank you Kevin and all of Dexys for such soul stirring music. Pure passion in everything. Much love to you all x
This man is a genius and a treasure.

A lot of us didn't miss the music at the time even if the press did, love this album and always will.
Always a sharp dresser and real music lover .
I love the album and used to play it over and over when I first had it.
I love this album and I’m waiting for the vinyl to arrive
One of the great British songwriters of all time had certainly earned the right to make a covers album if he wanted to. The remaster sounds fab.
Dexy’s Midnight Robbers

He's looking good for 67.
Seriously , that's because of the drugs !
Where next show, date ?
My Beauty is my favourite Dexy's/Kevin Rowland album. The songs on it are great. I prefer the original mix though.
Yes, it is great. Actually, it’s genius. 👏

@@SuperJonnyrogers nothing except seeing an oap sat wearing stockings and suspenders isn't comfortable viewing.
@@lenfirewood4089 sounds like a personal issue. you should work on that. best of luck.
Some men suit a dress and some don't 😉
Again no subtitles. Why?
because it takes time to make them and time = money
What a guy
