Yes Vita, I have a soldering iron...lol isopropyl alcohol is for cleaning the board, and removing flux. One can use cotton swabs, or q-tips, as we call them in America. I would suggest watching a few videos, and practice on an old motherboard. I have faith in you. Practice makes perfect.

I learned how to solder to NASA(our space agency)standards back in high school.
Here are some tips:
Keep your fingers grease free.
Keep a wet sponge on work bench to wipe hot solder iron tip on periodically.
Clean the 2 places(wires and/or circuit board pads) that will be soldered(ie the 'joint')with isopropyl alcohol.
Mechanically connect the 2 places. If wires twist together. If wire to pad a way to hold wire to pad not using your hands.
Keep a ball of solder on hot iron tip when not using.
When ready to solder, add a small amount of solder 'flux' to joint.
Wipe hot iron tip on sponge to remove old ball of solder.
With solder in one hand and iron in the other hold solder to one side of joint while applying hot iron tip to other side of joint.
Smoke will rise and a second later solder will melt and flow into joint.
Remove heat a second later.
Only add enough solder to cover joint.
Sometimes they clean the finished joint with alcohol to remove the excess flux, but not necessary.
Hope this helps. Teach your kids to solder.

Hi Vita. You can do it. I recommend you first learn the name of the tools and what they are used for. If you don't have one, its also nice to have a tool bag to put all the tools in and put away. In 11/2021 I hired a company to replace my heating and air conditioning split system and they did a terrible installation, a hack job, and didn't want to fix the mess they did. They left many air gaps. I had to hire 3 other professionals on different occasions to fix some of the problems, but there was a lot of other work I was able to do on my own, but I spent a lot of time buying tools I've never used, finding out parts and materials to buy, looking at videos, and it took me 7 weeks of almost working every day to fix all the mess, but I did it. All that was new to me. It feels overwhelming at first, but working at it little by little, step by step, it can be done. good luck. Of course, it would be nice if one can find help.

As for soldering irons: i have 4 including one that uses 2 common 1,5 volt batteries, my favourite though is the 20 watt JCB, all that you need is a good soldering iron and some 60/40 solder. 😮😉😊🇺🇦🇩🇰✌️🍻♥️

I do have a soldering iron, in fact I have at least 4. I have soldered wires and components to circuit boards but not tiny modern ones.
I think it helps (a lot) to read manuals that come with things I'm not familiar with. I've learned a lot about many things by reading. I've also learned a lot by doing, trying, practicing, making mistakes and starting over. I've also learned many things by listening to and watching others. I could probably show and explain to you how to use your soldering iron and several other things you bought. The manuals probably cover some things I would have not said or shown you, I might show you some things not covered in the manuals.
Take your time. Read the manuals. If your children have any interest, get them involved. My first experiences building, assembling, maintaining and repairing thing were long ago. I've read lots of manuals. I've had many mentors. I've saved lots of money.
Physical skills like soldering take practice to be good at it. Same as anything you want to be good at. My parents encouraged me when I was curious about how things work. If your kids show the slightest curiosity or inclination, you could set up a mass production drone factory.

Vita, I learned to solder when I was a young girl. My father was an electrician and wired the home and barns we built, also helping other friends and family when they needed help with anything electrical. I learned a lot about electronics by helping, and did some fun projects like making my own lamp from some Chinese style pottery I had made. When I was an adult I learned to make stained glass designs, and soldering is what keeps the pieces of colored glass together.
*As a retired teacher I will let you know that in English, in the word solder, the letter L is silent. So the word actually sounds like “SOD - er.” 😊 I’m sorry that English pronunciation sometimes makes no sense!*
Another point, I’m not sure how old your children are, but if they are at least 10 I think this is something they will pick up quickly and easily. Lear together and it might become a family hobby! Since you have all these great supplies, there’s no reason why you could not make many drones - but please do not stress yourself out about it all right now. That could easily become overwhelming; so just take one day at a time! Just breathe deep and recover from shopping first, and then do some research so you learn what to do. You are setting a great example for your children!💙🤗
When you get back to it, the first thing I would do is look up the names of what each item is called in English. Maybe write those names in permanent marker on the boxes, if you’re going to keep the box. Next I would look up many videos on TH-cam and watch the ways that people use these items. I’m sure there are thousands of soldering videos on TH-cam! And there are probably many videos about making drones! I’m sure you can easily come up with a list of good videos to watch with your children. If any of the videos have other children involved, they might like it even more.
What a noble task! It’s also a wonderful and useful lesson for your children to learn! It really does have great potential, and perhaps it will help your children think about other ways to be useful, and things they might want to do in the future.

Hi Vita, you need a class for soldering and assemblying the components togeter properly. Because in the harsh cold climate of the frontlines where most batteris fail (due to cold temperature) everything has to be properly assembelled to reduce risk of injury to friendly soldiers. If there is any weakness in the design and material nature (cold and wet environment) will surface the issues. But, I do admire your tenacity and challenging yourself and others.😊

I went to soldering school in the Navy and even soldered looking through a microscope. I think you were right when you said just buy a completed one. Anyway, good luck and have fun.
