    “ I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. “ If we follow Jesus, we’ll surely reach heaven. Attachment to Him and detachment from self. Fr. Chris, your untiring work in winning souls for Jesus will never be forgotten. You give us all the means and show us the ways of walking with you in humility and purity of heart. Thank you so much and thanks to Daniel O’ Connor for helping us understand the importance on what heaven is like. All for Jesus and nothing for us, then there’s no hindrance. God bless us and prayers for holiness in life we must all cooperate with God’s grace to reach heaven.

    This episode on ‘Heaven’ in the “The Four Last Things” series was quite enlightening! My big take-away? Get prepared for Heaven NOW while still on this Earth by detaching ourselves from the things of this world, loving our neighbor and staying in a state of grace. I can think of no better person than you, Father Chris, to help us get there! On this National Day of Prayer, I am praying for you, your mom and our Marian Helper Family around the world. 🙏 May we all shine brightly in heaven someday. ✨

    This whole episode on Heaven was so uplifting and gave us so much to anticipate with joy rather than fear death. What impressed me most in the episode was Brother Chris Orante’s narrative. How blessed was he that he acknowledged and embraced his love of God during his teen years, and chose his activities based on his preference to be in the company of holy people. He chose the priesthood at a young age. As a cradle Catholic who arrived late in my efforts to lead a holy life, I am left with a bit of an “if only …” mentality and a bit of regret.
    May God bless all the participants in this episode on Heaven: Father Joe, Father Gabe, Brother Chris, Daniel O’Connor, very nice cameo appearance Cameraman Giuseppe and of course, Father Chris. May God bless our Marian family.

    Thank you, Fr Chris and Daniel O'Connor. Great biblical and theological descriptions of heaven. I think we will see and be with our heavenly Father with our bodies and senses, not just contemplate him intellectually. "Thus the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend." (Exodus 33:11, New Catholic Bible) And the same with the Holy Spirit. And since Jesus Christ is true God and true man, we will be with him face to face. God bless you all.

    Fr. Chris what do you think of the vast videos on TH-cam on "near death experiences"?

  • @mas_79
    @mas_79 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think it was Fr. John Corapi put it like this... while everyone is perfectly happy in Heaven, some have a higher degree of it. sort of like a shot glass vs a cup. while both are full, one has a higher volume. so some are more closely united to God than others.
    but in regards to the 'Will we all be equal in Heaven?' question. Fr. Chris Alar said... "No. in Heaven we will maintain uniqueness. you will do something better than any other soul for all eternity and you will find out exactly what that is".
    that's somewhat difficult to believe that would apply to literally everyone in that every single person has at least one thing they are number 1 at in comparison to every other person who's ever lived. because it would be much easier to believe that each of us might be 'better than most' (or even a large majority) in one area, or certain areas. but if I am wrong, great (but it just don't seem like there would be any single thing I (or a random person) would be ahead of every other human being who lived is all).
    in terms of 'pets in Heaven' here is what Fr. Chad Ripperger said on the subject... "You know once in a while people will ask me, 'Is my dog fluffy going to be in Heaven?' and I usually tell people, 'Yeah, he is. but he's not going to exist in Heaven'. but when you see God face to face you'll see the entire life of fluffy in it. so yeah, in a certain sense he's there because you'll get to see em anytime you want to think about em. you see him in God, it's like watching a much realer movie, it's much more real when we see it in God than it is if we actually experience the dog physically. so you won't actually have a need or a desire to have the dog physically here."

    • @lumpichu
      @lumpichu ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't recall the words exactly but I remember I read Jesus saying that everyone's relationship with him and the way of worship is in some way special, different from everyone else's, irreplaceable and I'm sure it is. I'd not look at it as winning over others in a discipline. But it's just my vague idea. I see it in the Scripture, Revelation 2:17, but it's quite possible I misread it :)

    • @mas_79

  • @gianellanovack3408

    I agree that HEAVEN is indescribable...no human words or sentiments can explain the deothbof LOVE and Mercy we will have. Coming primarily from God to us, and us to others...whereas when we see another person WE SEE GOD..
    And unlike a non-spiritual book "Dante Aliguieri. LA DIVINA
    COMEDIA" /he sid a wonderful explanation of Hell...hebfell really short 1M short-on his attempt to write and draw a picture of heaven..(albeit: this is a book and not a spiritual book)..
    Heaven and hell Are Real..in the end: we will be either in Heaven or in Hell....

    I'm really struggling with this teaching...l know Heaven will have to be better than this life but my weak mind is having a hard time trying to grasp it. The thought of not having a close and unique relationship with those we loved in life leaves me feeling really cold and the idea that some of them may be in hell & l won't care about it, leaves me feeling even colder. Also, you say that those in hell wouldn't be happy in Heaven but that doesn't make sense as if they were in Heaven, it would be impossible for them not to be happy.

      This Sunday’s reading is from the Gospel of John which tells us that “in the Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?”. I bet the Father’s house is more beautiful than we can possible imagine!

    I would like to know if free will exists in heaven.. if it does, isn't it possible for people to fall back to sinful act?

      No, because our will will be perfectly aligned with God's will.

    The inverse must be true for body's in Hell:
    Instead of Impassability, bodies in Hell are eternally being destroyed (Hard to imagine what that must look like).
    Instead of brightness and clarity, there is darkness and ugliness.
    Instead of agility, their is heaviness and imprisonment.
    Instead of the body being completely obedient to the spirit, the spirit is completely obedient to the body.
    Even so, the body will maintain identity, integrity, and yes, the monster who attacked a Christian school has learned that she can never escape her female sex.

    It's easy to be told that you'll be married to God, but it's difficult to not want earthly things like love and romantic relationship when living on earth.
    As cheesy as this sounds, can people experience some romantic love with eachother in heaven?
