It's been a year since I started my youtube channel.
Since it's our first anniversary, we're bringing you a longer and more complex video than usual🤗
This time, I covered "Splash Wave" which is a masterpiece of "Outrun", one of Sega's legendary driving games.
After trying out various tones for this song, I chose a string tone for the intro. And for the main tone, I added a pitch shifter to the synth brass tone and added a sound one octave higher, and succeeded in playing a heavy synth tone on the violin.🎻
Both are BOSS SY-200 tones. It's a really great Effects unit pedal.
By the way, in this song, an electric guitar is added to make the accompaniment more profound.🎸
Actually, I used to play the accompaniment for the cover of Salamander 2, but this time I composed the guitar part as the main accompaniment instrument to pair with the keyboard part, referring to the arrangement of "Outrun2".
The tone of this guitar part is also created using the LINE6 HX STOM, just like the violin.
HX STOMP makes it easy for musicians like me who aren't very good at using effects to create, save, and manage good sounds. Another really nice Multi-Effects unit pedal.
Now, let's stop talking about the sound side and talk about the video side!
This time it's a long song of 6 minutes, so I spent a lot of time shooting and editing.
In the process, I realized that it would be difficult to create the video I imagined with "Apple iMovie", so I tried using "Final Cut Pro", which is a higher version of iMovie.
By doing so, it has been possible to display three or more video materials at the same time and use various video effects.
As a result, I'm proud that I ended up with a work that didn't get boring for a long time of 6 minutes.
I didn't have the Ferrari Testarossa model car that appeared in the original Outrun, but I had the familiar F50 model car in Outrun 2, so I made it appear 😆
I just hope that everyone will enjoy this work that I enjoyed making even though it was difficult.🤩

Actually, I had been preparing for quite some time, but it took me a long time to release it because I was having technical difficulties 😅
In other words, the melody of this song has several places where it is necessary to replace the fingers in order to instantly correspond to the diatonic scale after three consecutive chromatic scale notes of decorative phrases.
And at that point, the violin tended to go out of tune, so I had a hard time.
That's why I just hope you enjoy this cover work that I worked hard to create 😀
