I have Alto K10 VXi+ AMT. Let me give you my feedback. Fuel efficiency is very bad in small town and congested places like market, because the car runs on 2nd gear upto about 30 kmph speed. It is not in your control. Fuel efficiency improves 3rd gear onwards. But it takes 5th gear at around 54/55 kmph. I even drive my Dzire diesel on 5th gear at 40 kmph. Alto is built for small towns and congested places. You cannot take it everyday on highways just to get a good fuel efficiency. Another point is calibration. After travelling a distance of exactly 2 km, the odo of K10 shows 2.3 km. That means, the distance or fuel efficiency that it shows, are not the actual value.
Thank you for your massage But it is the reality that most of the alto users have good experience of their car It is pocket friendly You can use it for daily office going or for parking in crowd areas is easy It is easy to drive and very comfortable for city use It can not be used for long drives, it feels you back pain because of small tyres and small size suspension There are many drawbacks of every vehicle
@@sandeepshende9525 Thanks for your response. I also have good experience with Alto. I purchased my first Alto LXi in July 2009, and now I have said goodbye to my old Alto after using it for 14 years 8 months. My experience says that it is the best car for small towns and congested places. My old Alto (BS III) used to return a mileage of 17-18 kmpl in first 3-4 years, and finally at the last phase its fuel efficiency was 14-15 kmpl. The new Alto is a much improved car, which gives a premium feeling. I did not think twice to buy another Alto, because I stay in a small city (Jamshedpur). And I must say this is an amazing car. My only point is that the gear adjustment for AGS version is such that it does not give a good mileage unless you drive it at a speed of above 40 kmph. I used to drive my old Alto LXi on 4th gear at less than 30 kmph speed, I drive my Dzire ZDi on 4th gear at 30 kmph speed. But this new Alto K10 AGS version does not take even 3rd gear at below 30 kmph. So, how will you get mileage? The pocket friendly factor, for which people buy Alto, is absent in this case. I am sure the manual gear shifting version gives a much better overall mileage. Another point - only one reversing lamp is really disappointing. This is not expected from Maruti. Even they used to provide fog lamps in old Alto K10, which they are not giving now.
