    Absolutely amazing....
    It's a shame that one diver died. It's amazing that all the children, and their coach were brought out alive. Thanks to all the rescue divers, and everyone involved in this multi-national effort.

How they team shows positive spirit and how ALL thr volunteers gathered together from food to final rescue. The farmers are so generous to loose their crops for the sake of these young ones. Thai people just learnt this risky operation to bring all trapped footballers out of the cave by injecting ketamine to resuce their anxiety from the movie. • @TheOscarFrancois
      @TheOscarFrancois 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I don't think "expect" is the right word though. Would be fair enough to say that a chance of death seems plausible (and it's understandable) since the kids weren't familiar with diving and they certainly weren't in healthy conditions. It's 12 minors plus an adult coach that they had to take out from the flooded, muddy cave. When the former seal officer lost his life, it was obvious that this wasn't anything less than a mission impossible but what good would it do to tell the press? The parents were waiting with little hope everyday but they still held on. Obstacles always popped up along the way almost every day of the rescue. And yet they'd miraculously made it.

    Incredible effect by all to save these boys, out safe and alive 👍🏻👍🏻👏👏. I just have only travelled to Thailand a month or so after this tragedy…..I cried just watching the movie now on Netflix. I can’t believe that it took each boy about 8 hours to be rescued out. So does that mean they were swimming for 8 hours under water with the diver from one stop to another? How did the sedation of them last that long? I have so many technical questions, like how long does each tank allow one to breathe for? I know in the movie, the younger one Mark had mask difficulties & he was given a 2nd dose to get him out. A lot of the reporting was interviewing the British divers, but wasn’t it the two Australian’s that has specialised experience came up with the final plan on how to really get them out? Do we know who ended up providing the 600 tanks? That was awesome news. I wonder if the Thai government will help compensate the poor farmers that helped with allowing the flooding of their lands? I wonder if they will use the sedation method again in other rescues? Does it pose any morale/ethics? As long as the children are not harmed by this drug to sedate them. I do hope that now after this incident, that this Thai cave closes all season during monsoon season just to be safe. I wonder if it has attracted more tourists to the caves or people are scared to go in there now? I hate caves, they scare me. So I give kudos to the boys for being brave & having courage. I would have been scared to death, in the dark & cold. Rip, the naval seal that passed. Your passing wasn’t in vain. I wish all the whole kids and their families a blessed life. I hope you can live a happy life despite the trauma you all have been though. Love and light to you all. I know it’s all passed now, but those meteorologists people should really lift up their game in regards to notifying the public of dangerous & extreme weather. It’s their job.

    • @speleokeir
      @speleokeir 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Loads of caves flood, it's something cavers are aware of and check out before going. Even if some vandal wanted to spoil the cave in this fashion the cost and difficulties make it fairly impractical.
      It's more a case of common sense, i.e. Before going down any cave, I check the guide books (if there is one), ask around if anyone has been down recently and what conditions are like, check the weather forecast and then check the level of any entrance streams. If in doubt I go to a dry cave or do something else. Of course there's always a chance you can be unlucky like these kids and get caught out by a flash flood, but most incidents can be avoided if you're sensible.

    • @mosesdouglas7902
      @mosesdouglas7902 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      speleokeir .I don't think so .that your own sense of just around the cave area say 10km radius can be enough to determine forecasts .What's about rain happens hundreds of miles away and only flood reach the place of the cave ???

    • @speleokeir
      @speleokeir 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      In places like Thailand where you get intense rains the danger of getting caught out is bigger I agree, but it would be more practical to set up a store of emergency food, sleeping bags, clean water, a mole phone to the surface, in the highest points of the cave (assuming those don't flood at the height of the monsoon). I know of a few caves where that's been done due to high flood risk.
      Sounds like the authorities are going to turn the cave into a tourist attraction anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if they change access procedures.

      U hv to watch this Thai boys cave rescue story clip from beginning to the end - real live account from key members of the rescue team itself - it’s as good as a documentary movie in itself - realize after watching this clip it’ll be impossible for any movie producer to replicate the actual rescue mission- it has to be done via interviews with these real people themselves as U can see from the clip - the only missing link to complete this clip is hearing the stories from all the boys themselves.

      Edward Angel they walked in about 2 miles and then heavy rain and mud flooded their path to get out. The flood water was deep and in certain areas the water was up to the roof of the cave. the water was also fast moving and they would have drowned trying to swim out without help

    • @nazezesasese2841
      @nazezesasese2841 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It was not flooded when they went in. After an hour, they walked back to the entrance to find out that it was totally flooded. Then water level rose and they were forced to go deeper until they found a high ground about 4 km from the entrance.

      Juan Flores they walked in when the cave was dry then the rain quickly poured in chasing them deeper and deeper into the cave. it's not the coach's fault as exploring the cave is considered a mainstream activity there. It was just unfortunate that the rain season came a bit early this year in that region.

      It’s an explorable cave. They went there for sightseeing. When they walked in, it was not flooded. They explored it for an hour and walked back to the entrance but it was already flooded. They tried to find the way out, but were forced to go deeper because water level was rising. This is how it happened.

      Jimmy Berry You can send money to their Go Fund Me account. The reason you haven't so far and won't is because you are like most Americans you only pretend to care but really you don't. And the proof in that is because you won't donate a dime to none of the survivors because again, You don't Care. SMH.
