I love this one, I feel the paranormal thing, the mist, the atmosphere, the cold of another dimension, but at the same time I feel the city, the normal and mundane things because the rythm and the jazzy treatment. It's a perfect mix of paranormal and normal, love it.
This makes me remember the last time i was happy... the last time life was meaningful and i was not insecure... that last time i was still colorful from the inside and the outside....
This was my first introduction to Silent Hill 2 music before I even played the game. It really transports you to a dark, mysterious place that's hard to describe. I hope it makes it into the remake!

It was refreshing to see eddie in this part of the game, cause you've been facing nothing but darkness, fog, and faceless walking flesh attacking you. Seeing a human face after that gives you hope.

To this day it’s by far one of, if not the most mature examination of grief, sexual trauma, suicide, and morality all combined. It’s an intelligent game that does not hold anyone’s hand and comes at the player with utmost confidence in itself. It’s fantastic stuff. The rest of the original 4 are great in their own right and have their own well written stories, but they don’t hold the same emotional weight to them. I think SH2’s maturity by comparison is something that a lot of people are drawn to. ☯️
Strange... I remember hearing this song slightly different in-game. Not only for the echo that there isn't, but I remember a segment with a bass line before the song loops again. I'm not crazy...Least, I don't think so.
The ingame tracks are all midi-files that use samples of the instruments used in the actual recording. Heaven's Night sounds different on many parts, one being the echo not existing in the midi version as they couldn't reproduce it. The midi files however at least loop perfectly.
