Glad you enjoyed it. Agreed, very sad to hear that it had to be demolished due to mining activities. This is the second time I have come across this, I discovered the same when I done the research for the House of Sheriffhall video. Thanks for watching. 👍
Greetings from Sweden! I'm very glad to see this video! I've been to Scotland many times but I never got around to visit Douglas castle, such a shame really. I'm related to the swedish branch of the Douglas family on my grandmother's side. Patrick Douglas was a major and a few other common soldiers named Douglas served in Robert Leslie's "Old regiment of Scots". The regiment was in swedish service during the thirty years war. After the war many of the Douglasses stayed in Sweden, some were raised to nobility, some were not, among the latter were my ancestors.❤⭐⭐⭐
I parked the car on the edge of the village and walked to the ruin, but I noticed on my way back to the car people were parking in a wee car park next to the lake. Thanks for watching. 👍
👏👏👏👏👏👏 so sad that the castle was demolished, and with in living memory. Thanks again Droneman and Dronegirl

Hi and good video, we live not far away and it looks a good place for walking the dog! Not sure where to park the car though?
