VERY excited to watch this later today but couldn't help leaving a comment now. Tennessee Williams was my blood relative via my maternal grandfather's lineage. I had the exquisite privlege of taking a class in high school called Mississippi Crossroads where a VERY good teacher taught us all about queer and disabled representation and the motifs of high control/emotionally abusive relationships like between Laura and Amanda. The teacher pointed out the similarities between a lot of Williams' female leads and I could not personally resist noticing how many of them remind me of my own mother. Amazing educational privlege somehow acquired there. I loved that class so much and was ecstatic to find out we're related by blood to the writer. My current family won't acknowledge it directly because they're bigots, but it's right there in the public ancestry. He died only a short time after I was born and I never knew for many years we had such fame in the family. Now I feel proud to brag. Anyway, Sydney, i'm sure this is great work.
found further context for the early story "the Gentleman Caller" - Laura was originally concieved as to have been in a traumatic incident with dogs in the link below. plus more

Thank you for acknowledging the heritable neurodivergence theory. It's a pet theory of mine too, and I have family reasons to go with it

How does this not have more views
As someone from the UK, I had never heard of this before, and I do not know anyone who studied it at school/college either.
